Again, M&S have used the successful [mock beef] pea protein as used in their other plant kitchen series like the no beef Shanghai noodles , no beef steak bake and no salt beef bun.
The pastry and taste was spot on and I found that it tasted similar to the No beef steak bake except that this was in a pie pastry.The filling was similar in taste with the addition of swede which gave it a slight bitter taste.
Overall, worth trying as the mock beef texture was to my liking.
