Bonne maman blackcurrant mousse, salted caramel creme, strawberry and rhubarb mousse

Bonne Mamam is everywhere, you find this brand doing jams, madeleines and even desserts.
As well as UK, I have seen Bonne Mamam in Asia.
I have always wanted to try their decadent mousses but ended up trying the blackcurrant mousse first because someone wanted to try it.
I found it light with a strong blackcurrant kick that was super tangy.
Overall, I think I would be better off with salted caramel.
A few months later, I ended up buying the strawberry, rhubarb and salted caramel.
Both the strawberry and rhubarb were really sugary even though there was lots of fruit in it and the texture is like whipped egg white.

bonne maman salted caramel:
The salted caramel creme was my favourite out of the three and the texture was no much nicer over mousse.

Sainsburys Mini Plain Tortilla Wraps

Spotted these Tortilla wraps which were reduced to 10p so decided to give them a try.
They were just as good as your regular wraps when microwaved.
Rating: 4/5

Sainsburys Prawn cocktail Sandwich (Taste the difference)

At Sainsburys I was captivated by the Prawn cocktail and seafood cocktail sandwiches.
Since seafood cocktail is just cocktail sticks ie surimi I got the prawn cocktail instead.
Just another prawn cocktail sandwich I thought but it was surprisingly good and there were a few big prawns in there.
It was confirmed in the ingredients that they were King prawns.
The Marie Rose dressing was to my liking as it was more savory than sweet.

M&S Marks and Spencers Bombay Potato & Cauliflower salad

When I first saw this Bombay Potato & Cauliflower, it reminded me of aloo gobi curry.
According to the ingredients it is Curried potato, roasted cauliflower and lightly pickled red onion with a mint yoghurt dressing.
The spices were not heavy which made it versatile to go with other things like fish.
I highly recommend this to anyone who would like something different to their usual salad.
Rating: 4/5

M&S Marks and Spencers Garlicky haddock Kievs

I was quite surprised to find some haddock kievs so tried them.
It was really good how the fish was still in the form of fillet with wild garlic butter in the middle.
Overall it was deliciously paired with some Indian style inspired salad also from M&S.
Rating: 4/5

M&S Marks Spencer Taramasalata

I love Taramasalata and I think this is the best!
Just when I thought this was the best, they now have a new tangy Taramasalata which I am yet to try.
Overall, this one was great with avocados and ciabiattas, it was creamy and savoury.
Rating: 4/5

M&S Marks Spencer Hass Avocados

Soft creamy ripe avocados are hard to come accross which is frustrating.
What's even more annoying is when you buy salads and sandwiches with slices of avocados that are not ripe.
Anyway, tried my luck with the Marks Spencer Hass Avocados and they were surprisingly good.
The flesh inside was uniformly coloured without any black bits.
I had mine with Taramasalata and it was simply delicious.

M&S Marks Spencer Lamb's Liver & bacon

I used to have school dinners which I am grateful for because our school did great dinners and varieties.
One of them was liver and mash. I remember it being strong and tasty in gravy with mash so I decided to try the M&S version with bacon.
Overall, it fared better than the mini meal version. The liver was hard and crumbly so the gravy was really tasty having absorbed all that liver goodness into it.
Rating: 3/5

M&S Marks Spencer Lamb's Liver & Onions (mini meal) review

I used to have school dinners which I am grateful for because our school did great dinners and varieties.
One of them was liver and mash. I remember it being strong and tasty in gravy with mash so I decided to try the M&S version with onions.
Overall, it was nice but the liver was a bit gamey.

M&S Marks and Spencers Cook With Sea bass fillets with chilli, lime & coriander

The M&S cook with range is quite good as they even have sea bass fillets.
They were delicately flavoured and overall tasty with some veg for a quick meal,

Tesco Fire Pit 4 Hot & Spicy Pork Loin Steaks

Tescos have launched a great variety of marinated meats for the summer and the spicy pork loin was one of them along with Chinese style, Indian style etc.
The spicy pork loins were tender and moist when it was cooked which made a great meal with rice and vegetables.

Lidl Chinese style pork shoulder steaks

Every supermarket is doing a good variety of meats for the summer BBQ, Lidl and Aldi have chimmichurri steaks, while most offer Chinese style pork.
Traditonal Cantonese Chinese roast pork (char siu) uses the shoulder cut, however from my supermarket finds, Tescos, Iceland and Sainsburys offer the belly cut and Lidl has the shoulder cut.
To compare with Chinese roast pork, I got the Lidl Chinese style pork shoulder steaks.
There is no right and wrong which cut to use as it is for BBQ but for the sake of Chinese roast pork the shoulder steak is a better choice.
When I took the meat out from the packet, there was a strong smell of aniseed and five spice.
Overall, the taste was spot on with a strong aniseed taste.
If you want a more authentic taste, try glazing it with malt syrup or honey so that it will caramelized.
According to the ingredients, beetroot was used for the colouring.
To summarize, it tasted good but the pork was like cuts of pork glued together hence I give it a 3/5 rating.
