M&S Marks and Spencers All butter pains au chocolat

M&S croissants were nice but strangely the pains au chocolat were a bit boring.

Morrisons Green Olives with garlic and thyme

There are so many options for olives, this time tried the Morrisons Green Olives with garlic and thyme which were quite nice but overall I prefer other flavours because I am not that keen on thyme.

Morrisons halkidiki olives stuffed with red peppers

Another option for tasty olives from the deli.

These Halkidiki olives were nutty and delicious.

M&S Marks and Spencers Cook With Sweet & Sour Sauce

After trying the sweet and sour no chicken earlier, I fell in love with the M&S sweet and sour sauce so I decided to get the cook with version thinking it would taste the same.

Unfortunately, it tasted very different as the pineapple tones were gone and there was a strong garlicky taste which was not nice.

Lidl Meadow Fresh Lemon & Herb Olives

I love olives so this time I tried the Lidl Meadow Fresh Lemon & Herb Olives which were uniform in size and colour.
As for the taste, you could really taste citrus lemon flavours in it.

The Vegetarian Butcher Vegan What the Cluck

The vegetarian butcher as the same suggests offers a vegetarian range of meat alternatives such as willies, burgers, meatballs and mock chicken.
While the rest are vegetarian, the mock chicken is vegan.
I got my hands on a free sample Thanks to their sponsored ad on Facebook which was collected at Coop.
The voucher is to be used at designated stores and you have to use it within 10 minutes of activation which means you can only activate it once you are at the store and have the product in your hands otherwise the voucher will become useless.
Anyway, I found the too chewy but tasted good in curry sauce because the curry sauce was good.
Still to try are the meatballs which I haven't tried yet.

Morrisons Plain roasted chicken leg

While I was at Morrisons, the freshly roasted chicken was reduced so decided to try it.
It was still hot but sadly the texture was too firm and mushy.

[Review review] Kumquat

My first experience with a KUMQUAT was not good because I was told to eat it with the bitter peel which was horrible.

Decided to try it again and it was not so bad because this time I just tried the flesh which was like eating a fresh sour lemon with an orange taste so basically a very sour orange!

Kumquats are used to make jams, pickles and can even be candied for cocktails.

This time I salted them so that it will be a soothing hot drink as a sorethroat remedy.

Unboxing a mini box of HEROES

It is obviously better value if you buy the regular box of HEROES but I only want one of everything so I got the smaller box for one pound.

You get a dinky decker, fudge, wispa, creme egg twisted, caramel, dairy milk, crunchie bits and twirl.

New McVities Jaffa cakes Passionfruit

Strangely I like any non orange Jaffa cakes because of that soft cake layer, crisp chocolate and the jelly.

There are two new Jaffa cakes this year by McVities and these are the Cherry and Passionfruit which Iis new.

Both flavours seem tasty and I can now finally compare them to the M&S version which was good.

Out of Cherry and Passionfruit, cherry was more exciting because I think the general taste palatte in UK prefers Cherry.

Finally got my hands on some Passionfruit Jaffa cakes from Tescos where every side of the box was well decorated even the barcode.

Now to the taste, I couldn't stop eating them, they were that good and Jaffa cakes tastes so much better in winter when the jelly is chewier and the passionfruit flavour was tangy topped with a layer of chocolate on a soft cake layer.

Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen no pork Streaky bacon

I think mock bacon is the hardest to produce because of the texture.

So far one of the brands Ive tried has a good texture but the taste isn't quite right.

After trying the M&S plant kitchen version, I really liked the taste but the texture was a bit strange.

So to conclude, I prefer using mock bacon in stews and gravies as the taste and texture works better.

The M&S plant bacon worked really well when it was sauteed with spinach and cauliflower cheese.
