Attending the 2026 Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace

It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the Royal Garden Party.
Thankfully, the weather was kind that day.
We entered the Palace by the main entrance where you go through ID Checks and security.
After that, we all walked to the lawn where the royals are to make their appearance.
To the left is the main tea tent and adjacent is the band and diplomatic tent.
Tea and food are served but timing is crucial.
If you want a good vantage point to see the Royals, best to stand by the entrance as soon as you get there.
It was an honour to see the King come out and at such a close distance.
Food was amazing, the egg mayonnaise sandwich, Victoria cake and scones with jam and cream were favourites.
Drinks and refreshments included tea, coffee, lemon barley water and Jude's ice cream.
The only difference is that the diplomats get tea served in HR cups where they use tea bags and they also get juices while the food is the same.
After the Royals come out, you are free to get more food if you haven't done so and stroll around the garden which leads to a lake and a beautiful garden.
Time goes really quicky at the party, one minute you are at the gates, then you are waiting for the royals, after that getting some cakes, taking a stroll and it is already time to go!
Every second counts from receiving the invitation.
First thing first is sourcing what to wear and with factors like the weather to consider.
It is also helpful to watch experiences from others on social media to get tips and familiarise with the scenery before you get there so you can see what other people wore and did.
