Maple sugar is such a rare find in the UK unless you buy it online so when M&S had the maple cured bacon with a sachet of maple rub, I figured that it was basically maple sugar. I tried a bit and it was definitely maple sugar so I saved some to experiment with. Adding it to tea gave it a lovely maple aroma and sweetness which went nicely with Yorkshire tea. Will definitely try it on other things soon.
