At school I was really lucky that we were served delicious meals by the dinner ladies every lunch time including desserts.
We would have fish pie, roast dinner eg lamb, pork etc with gravy, pies an desserts would be jam tart, coconut sponge, roly poly, treacle tart etc.
This time I got the treacle tart from M&S which was just like the good old school days, the pudding was so comforting.
Treacle tarts are best served with custard or clotted cream.
It has been hard trying to get Treacle tarts because not many local supermarkets stock it, in the odd occaision you might spot Mr Kiplings but not often spotted at the convenience stores.
