Lisner Herring single portion - Lemon and Dill, Onion and Spicy review

Lately,  I had this strange urge to try rollmops so ended up trying the Morrisons Sweet cured herrings first as it was hard deciding which supermarket brand of rollmops.

Then, the search led me to Lisner herrings from the Polish shops and it so happens Lidl was also doing East European week and stocked them so I got all three flavours.

Although Lisner Herring Single portion sells at the same price at Lidl and the Polish shops, the one from Lidl is for the English market because it is clearly labelled in English.

I was impressed all three flavours because of the tartness and it didn't have any sweetness to it.

The herrings were boneless and moreish without any unpleasant smell or taste and the best thing was the finely chopped onions which had an amazing crunch like coleslaw, again they were perfectly tangy and didn't have any sting to them.

It is hard choosing my favourite but probably the Spicy and Dill and Lemon.
