[Review] Sainsburys Pink Prawn Roses vs Icelands dozen duck roses vs Aldi Thai Roses

Instaworthy Rose shaped pastry wrapped around a prawn and vegetable mix by Sainsburys.
These are handcrafted roses made using delicate layers of crisp filo pastry, tinted with beetroot for a soft pink glow. They’re filled with a mix of chopped king prawns tumbled in a mellow blend of coconut and Thai-style penang curry spices.
Although I am not a fan of Thai style flavours, I just had to try the Sainsburys Pink Prawn Roses.
Iceland are doing a similar thing with orange duck roses.
Comparing the two, Iceland is not as pretty as Sainsburys but I think Iceland would probably sell better because of the duck and it only costs £2.50 for a dozen whereas Sainsburys is £4 for 10.

Both Iceland and Sainsburys state that it is made of filo pastry.

Tried the Sainsburys one and the pastry felt and tasted like pancake roll wrap.

After putting it in the oven for a specified time they were ready to eat.

It was the taste I expected so for people who love Thai food then I would definitely recommend it but in terms of presentation Sainsburys definitely nailed it.

Will hopefully try the Iceland version for comparison.

It appears Tescos could possibly be in the game according to their poster but I have not spotted it yet.
