Hellman's Vegan mayonnaise

Hellman's have always been my number 1 mayonnaise and now they offer a vegan version so I had to try it.
I was really lucky to get a sample posted to me.
Overall, the taste was impressive, the mayo was thick and creamy just like the regular version and you can't really taste the difference.
Although it does make me wonder what oils/ingredients they use to emulsify it to get this lovely creamy texture and taste.
Other offerings are: baconnaise, garlic and chipotle mayonnaise.

Hellmann's vegan mayo, baconnaise, garlic and chipotle mayonnaise finds at the supermarket.

M&S Beef & Onion with peppercorn mayo on a sub roll

When I saw this, the pairing of beef & onion and peppercorn mayo looked good so I didn't hesistate getting it.
The beef slices in the sub looked like decent roast beef slices as well.
After warming it in the microwave for 25 seconds, the roll was simply amazing.
The fiery peppercorn mayo and sweet caramelized onions were so good together and then you have the quality beef slices so overall highly recommended.

Bird's Brandy Sauce

After Christmas, there was a big clear out at Sainsburys so I grabbed myself with a bargain on the Bird's Brandy sauce which was only 5p.
I wasn't sure what to do with it at first because I am not a fan of mince pies so I saved it until I had something to go with it.
Since I had some puff pastry I decided to use it as a filling because the consistency at room temperature was just like thick custard.
The taste of Brandy sauce is similar to regular custard infused with Brandy which made it perfect as a puff pastry filling.
There was a strange aniseed taste to it as well.
Overall, the Brandy sauce is nice if you like custard.

Mom’s Dry Noodle Spicy & Sour Flavor 老媽拌麵 (酸辣麵)

Mom's dry noodles is a world famous Taiwanese brand that has restaurants in Hong Kong as well as noodle kits available at Zstore as well as various supermarkets in the UK such as See Woo.
Also available in the US as well as Malaysia!
I tried the spicy & sour noodle kit which has been recommended by The Ramen Rater.
Just like other Taiwanese noodle kits, it comes in a well designed packet with sauces sachets included and all you do is cook the noodles, drain the water and toss in the sauces.
I thought the star of the show was the chilli oil which was so fragrant and appetizing made with chilli oil, sesame and Sichuan pepper oil.
The noodles had a nice firm yet soft texture with a good bite resistance.
For those who like it softer I suggest cooking it for a few more minutes than the suggested time.

Kung Fu Food Vegetable mushroom bun Jiangnan style 江南風味的素包

I love Jiangnan style buns because they are always loaded with vegetables.
Kung Fu Food specializes in these Jiangnan style buns and there are four different ones to choose from:
Shiitake Mushroom and Vegetable, Pickled Mustard and Bamboo Shoot Buns, Turnip strip and celery & beancurd.
It was really hard deciding which one to get as they are all good but I tried the shiitake mushroom and vegetable.
Visually, the buns look restaurant quality and who knows some restaurants could be steaming the same buns as well.
The most impressive thing is that the vegetables inside the bun look fresh even though they are previously frozen.
I loved the coarsely chopped vegetables which were grassy green and really tasty.
Overall, a must try because they taste good on their own or even better with some chilli oil/sauce.
These buns are made by Kung Fu Food 英國功夫食品公司 in UK hence you the quality and taste is assured.
Available at various Asian supermarkets in the UK like See Woo.

M&S Red Leicester cheese slices

I love cheese and some cheeses tastes really good when melted.
The red Leicester cheese was so good melted because it was slightly sharp in taste.
I used the the red Leicester cheese on toast as well as to make some cheesy puffs.

Angel Delight Soft Serve Ice Cream Butterscotch Flavour

Earlier this year, Iceland launched an Ambrosia soft serve ice cream which was a success and now they are doing an Angel Delight version which comes in two flavours: strawberry and butterscotch.
Strawberry flavours can be artificial so I got the butterscotch which is now one of my favourite ice cream along with the Ambrosia vanilla.
The butterscotch angel delight tastes exactly the same as the dessert version but in soft serve form.

M&S Haggis Scotch Egg 2022 and 2023

For Robert Burns night, Marks and Spencers had a good range of offerings but sadly I found out too late so I could only get the Haggis scotch egg or I would have got the Haggis cheese bake as well.
The haggis scotch egg was how I expected it to be but the haggis was rather soft and didn't hold well.
Overall, I thought it was really delicious and you even get that metallic blood type of aftertaste.
According to someone on Instagram, the haggis is made by macsween.

Update!
2023 version of the Scotch egg.

Tesco Beef Roasting Joint With Basting Fat

With good beef, I would normally expect it from restaurants but I never thought that you could get that quality at the supermarket as well.
Anyway, over Christmas someone got the Tesco Beef Roasting Joint With Basting Fat which has been sitting in the freezer for a month.
I was surprised how good the quality was when it was roasted, the beef was moist and had a great deal of flavour.
I am not sure what cut it was but according to the tesco website, the joint would be one of the following cuts: Topside, Top Rump or Silverside.

M&S Plant Kitchen chocolate cake jar

Marks and Spencers cake jars have been a real success and now there is a plant based offering!!
There have been so many tempting cake jars in the range but my first cake jar from M&S is plant based.
The M&S Plant Kitchen chocolate sponge cake is layered with chocolate frosting, Belgian chocolate sauce, decorated with dark chocolate biscuit pieces and dark chocolate chips.
To be honest, the taste was so good that you wouldn't suspect that it was plant based at all.
The chocolate chips tasted amazing and the cake was soft and moist.
Overall, I would really recommend this whether you are a vegan or not!

Oat milk chocolates by Well & Truly

I have always wanted to try oat milk chocolates and my wishes came true from Well & Truly who have kindly sent me some oat milk chocolate to enjoy.
Their oat milk range features caramelised hazelnut oat milk chocolate, oat milk chocolate and salted caramel oat milk chocolate which are all vegan and gluten free.
What I liked about them was the the sweetness which is an important factor for me, it was well balanced and no sugar substitutes were used which can comprise the taste.
My favourite was the oat milk chocolate which tasted like dark chocolate as I like a plain chocolate to appreciate how it tastes.
The salted caramel and the caramelized chocolate were in close ties but I would say I liked the salted caramel one more although the hazelnut is also good.
Overall I would definitely recommended these chocolates and would love to see another option with freeze dried strawberries or something with berries.
