Got home and found these Apple, Rhubarb custard slices from Morrisons which are possibly new from because I don't recall seeing them. They were quite nice but pastry is thick as usual. Even though there isn't much filling inside, you can really taste it because it was quite sweet.
The sound of these tempted me to buy 2 to take to a coffee morning but tbh I should have saved my money as there was only the minimal smear of something pretending to be a filling but mostly fresh air, not sure what happened to the custard part as no sign of that. Definitely avoid these next.
Crispy, flakey pastry, not too sweet but sweet enough is the best I can say about these. Errr couldn’t taste apple or rhubard and didn’t experience the texture of anything like a piece of fruit just a very very skinny spread of something vaguely custard flavoured. Waste of money.
