Khan's Bargains in Peckham

I was drawn by Khan's Bargains because it looked old so went in and had a look.
The products in there were amazing, there was food, household products and then DIY products at the other side with this quirky door between the aisle.
It was funky because they had pot noodles in a non working fridge as the whole place was just organized yet disorganized, I was entertained but some other random person said it was messy.
On the ceiling were these colourful hanging decorations and the giant green geometrical plastic foil sphere was stunning because of the size.
This was when I noticed a beautiful vaulted ceiling with glass lenses called lens crete which were popular in the 1930s according the architect Benny O Looney.
Later I found out that this used to be Holdens department store so in a way I am glad to see it in a similar fashion selling everything just like a department store rather than divided into smaller shop units and now really showcasing the architecture.
