McVities Blackcurrant Jaffa Cakes

The Blackcurrant jaffa cakes are another delicious addition to the jaffa cake family.
It was like eating a delicious thin layer of cake topped with dark crackly chocolate and a layer of super soft Rowntrees blackcurrant pastilles.
The jaffa cake flavours I've tried so far are the original, strawberry, blackcurrant, lemon & lime, pineapple, cherry, passion fruit, orange & cranberry.
My favourite so far have to be the Blackcurrant, Strawberry, Cherry and pineapple.
I can't wait to get my hands on the new McVities jonuts.

New McVities Jaffa cakes Passionfruit

Strangely I like any non orange Jaffa cakes because of that soft cake layer, crisp chocolate and the jelly.

There are two new Jaffa cakes this year by McVities and these are the Cherry and Passionfruit which Iis new.

Both flavours seem tasty and I can now finally compare them to the M&S version which was good.

Out of Cherry and Passionfruit, cherry was more exciting because I think the general taste palatte in UK prefers Cherry.

Finally got my hands on some Passionfruit Jaffa cakes from Tescos where every side of the box was well decorated even the barcode.

Now to the taste, I couldn't stop eating them, they were that good and Jaffa cakes tastes so much better in winter when the jelly is chewier and the passionfruit flavour was tangy topped with a layer of chocolate on a soft cake layer.

New McVities Jaffa Cakes Cherry

Strangely I like any non orange Jaffa cakes because of that soft cake layer, crisp chocolate and the jelly.

There are two new Jaffa cakes this year by McVities and these are the Cherry and Passionfruit which I don't think I have tried before even.

Both flavours seem tasty and I can now finally compare them to the M&S version which was good.

Out of Cherry and Passionfruit, cherry was more exciting because I think the general taste palatte in UK prefers Cherry.

Finally got my hands on some Cherry Jaffa cakes from Morrisons and every side of the box was well decorated even the barcode.

Now to the taste, I couldn't stop eating them, they were that good and Jaffa cakes tastes so much better in winter when the jelly is chewier and the cherry flavour was to the max topped with a layer of chocolate on a soft cake layer.

[Review] McVities Orange and Cranberry Jaffa Cakes

McVities Jaffa cakes are always delicious especially the non orange ones for people who do not like citrus flavours.
My favourite non citrus flavours from Jaffa cakes have been the strawberry and pineapple.

For Christmas McVities have launched the Orange and Cranberry Jaffa Cakes as well as the Christmas pudding and gingerbread digestives.

I finally got my McVities Orange and Cranberry Jaffa Cakes from ASDA for 60p which is the cheapest.
The cranberry and orange jaffa cakes were delicious and addictive because the flavours of orange and cranberry were balanced.
The thing that makes them delicious jaffa cakes is the crack of the chocolate coating and the jelly in the middle which has a slight chew to it.

I also tried M&S version festive version which was clementine and cranberry but the citrus flavour was too strong and just tasted like orange so overall McVities Orange and cranberry jaffa cakes fared better.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Cranberry & Clementine Jaffa Cakes

While Jaffa Cakes have come up with Cranberry & Orange, M&S have got the Cranberry & Clementine jaffa cakes for Christmas.

Unlike their regular jaffa cakes, this one has dark chocolate and a chocolate sponge base.

After trying them, I was a bit annoyed I couldn't taste the cranberry although the citrus sharp flavours were there.

As mentioned on Adam & Val's youtube review a year ago, he could not taste any Cranberry which is disappointing as they did not improve the recipe.

Saying that, the festive jaffa cake box it nice.

[Review] McVities Jaffa Cakes Pineapple

I love pineapple so when I heard about the McVites Pineapple Jaffa Cakes I had to get them.
Found them at co-op for a pound so got them.

Inside the box, they look the same with the words P-APPLE on the wrapper.

The first few Jaffa Cakes were damaged and ugly for the photo.

Ate a few until I found a good one to photo.

To be honest, they were so delicious, I didn't mind scoffing a few as the light sponge was delicious with the pineapple jelly centre and dark chocolate.
Definitely will be getting these again because they are so addictive and not cloyingly sweet compared to Marks and Spencers Jaffa cakes if you have tried them.
I am now tempted to try the Polish DELICJE SZAMPANSKIE Jaffa Cakes because they have some interesting flavours like peach would could be good but hopefully I will not be let down by the chocolate.

Also tried the Jaffa Cakes 5 Pineapple Cake Bars but I was really disappointed with these pineapple cake bars because the pineapple smell was rather artificial and it was so strong that you could smell it through the wrapper without even opening it.
The cake bars were so different to the Pineapple Jaffa Cakes

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Dark chocolate and Cherry Jaffa cakes

I was feeling peckish after dinner in TST so went to Marks and Sparks.
The Jaffa cake is basically a layer of Genoise sponge base, a layer of orange jelly coated in chocolate.
Discovered the Dark chocolate and Cherry Jaffa cakes so I had to get it because the cherry is a new invention.
The pack was a strange because it was twin packs which didn't really say on the packaging.
All of the packs on the shelf were twin packs.

Anyway, I couldn't wait to eat the Jaffa cake and it was delicious.
It tastes a bit like a black forest cake but the cherry jelly was not tart enough.

On the receipt, there is a 10% discount if you share your shopping experience at Marks and Sparks on tellmands which I did because I love shopping at Marks and Sparks but the incentive is rather useless because you have to spend $500-1000 to use that 10% discount.
