Hunger Breaks - The Bacon sizzler

Intrigued by the bacon patties I decided to give it a try.
As well as bacon they have other options such as steak or breakfast.
For full range, please visit:
http://hungerbreaks.co.uk/the-range/

Inside the can was baked beans and bacons patties.
I was quite disappointed with the bacon patties because the texture and taste was a bit weird.

The beans on the other hand were better than quite a lot of other brands because it was more savoury than sweet.

Tinned fishes from Russia with love

Got these tinned fishes from a friend to went who Russia.

Finally tried them with croissants. On their own, they taste slightly salty but the texture is excellent because they are extremely soft whereas other tinned products are hard.

Heinz Baked Beans Ham Sauce (Australian)

Tried the Baked beans in Ham sauce by Heinz in Australia.

They were surprisingly quite nice because they tasted like the original with a smoky smell and a hint of ham in the taste and the tomato flavour was not so prominent.
It would be so cool if there were tiny bits of ham in it.

The only thing I did not like was the can because the insides were a bit black.

I can't wait to get my hands on the modernized Baked Bean flavours:
Garlic and herbs, cheese, chili, curry and barbecue.

Also the BEANZ FOR GROWN UPZ which are fives different types of beans in a can for more protein.
The delicious mix of haricot, red kidney, pinto, cannellini and borlotti beans.

Fauchon paris asahi eclair sweet milk tea

Got this because it was Eclair flavoured.
A very unusual flavour! But in Japan they have all sorts of unusual flavours.
It was really sweet and had a lovely sweet scent, it basically tastes like silky western milk tea without the bitterness and it was like candy and drinks flavoured by famous syrups such as Monins.

The colour of the tea was the usual dark beige.

Piacelli cherry compote

I got them because I love cherries, but I was really annoyed I could not unscrew the lid!
(In the end I had to get someone else to open it!)
This is an Italian product called Piacelli cherry compote.
I couldn't quite understand why it was called compote because the liquid was not really syrup, it was natural cherry juice which I drank as well.
Each cherry was plump,  juicy just like a fresh cherry but softer.

As well as cherries, they have peaches, plums and apricots in this series.

Phillips pasteurized crab meat

Saw some crab meat that was ready to eat.

Before opening the can I did not know it was pasteurized and could be kept for 18 months under proper refrigeration.

There were two types to choose from: Claw meat or crab meat, so I chose the crab meat.
When I opened the can the crab meat was relatively fresh and the unami taste was still present.
I didnt take a picture of the packaging but on the bottom it was clear plastic and on the top it was a normal ring pull lid.

Overall quite a convenient product for those who would like to eat crab without the need of removing the shell and you can choose the preferred part of crab meat too.

Ayam Brand™ fried mackerel in black beans

I love fish and black beans so I was expecting this to taste good but the mackerel was hard.
It turns out that this is meant to be for congee, so next time I will try it with congee.

Casino Filet de Sardines au citron et basilic

Canned sardine filets from a French supermarket called Casino.

These sardines were in lemon and basil, the lemon was not tangy enough but the basil taste was strong.

The texture of the sardines was not soft enough.

Senorita Cooked Dry Peas

Was attracted by this can because the can looked quite classy, almost like the high end brands.

It is quite surprising that Philipino foods can be quite well packaged and the English is perfect with standard nutrition labellings.

When I opened the can, it was filled with quite alot of brine, there was only half a can of peas inside.

As I do not know how you are suppose to eat them, I just ate them straight from the can.
Anyway as these are dry peas, they tasted quite hard and dry.

Tulip pork luncheon meat

Fatter and greasier version of Denmark's Tulip brand chopped ham
It was much softer than the chopped ham version.

Suntory chocolate drink

Hot chocolate in a can.
The can of chocolate was bought from a heated cabinet in a convenience store.
Not sure if this drink can be warmed in a can because the shop sold it as a warmed drink in a heated cabinet.

As for the taste it was quite watery.

Ham by Maling!

Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another product from China!
But it is produced in Czech.

Anyway, the ham was very mushy in texture, slightly sour.
There was lots of jelly surrounding the ham in the tin.
Curry, Kung Pao and Sichuan pork! Also pork knuckles!! The English on the picture does not make sense because the English on the website is wrong! www.maling.cz

Denmark's Tulip brand chopped ham

Not the ham I was expecting, it was just fatty luncheon meat.
I wish the supermarket would import more international stuff!

French escargots with shells!! 蝸牛 and 管裝田螺

If it was not for the snail shells I would not have walked over to have a look!
I really liked the concept of the shells being sold with the escargots.
Anyway, I did'nt look at the Chinese labelling until I transferred the pictures to my PC.
It was interesting that both the same products are labelled using different terms that mean the same thing!
Field snails and Snails!
蝸牛 and 管裝田螺
Why isnt it Escargots and Escargots with Shells!

蝸牛 and 管裝田螺
