Birchall teas review

Discovered Birchall teas the speciality food fair and my favourite had to be the great rift ie strong breakfast tea.
The rest were too aromatic although the green tea peach had a strong green tea base followed by a strong peach aroma.
I believe their teas are popular in Asia since there is Asian language at the back.

[Review] Twinings pineapple & grapefruit green tea

Tried Twinings pineapple & grapefruit green tea which was quite a nice tea if you like the pina colada type of thing.
However I couldn't taste the grapefruit.

[Review] Twinings Orange & Lotus Flower Green Tea

The Twinings Orange & Lotus Flower Green Tea was interesting as I have never tried Lotus Flower in a tea before.
To be honest the orange was nice at the beginning but after it steeped the lotus flower came through which I did not like because it tasted like Chrysanthemum.

[Review] Twinings Chocolate Coconut Indulgence Green Tea

I am addicted to teas with chocolate so when I saw the Twinning Chocolate Coconut Flavoured tea, I had to get it.

Most chocolate teas I have tried are black teas with chocolate whereas Twinings is a green tea blend.
When I took the tea bag out of the envelope, the coconut smell was prominent.

After adding hot water, you could smell coconut with hints of chocolate just like bounty.

As for the taste, the green tea notes hit first then it was coconut but when it cooled down the chocolate became more prominent.

Overall, I loved this tea and it tasted much better than the Twinings Salted caramel green tea .

[Review] Twinings salted caramel green tea

I was looking for Twinings Chocolate Coconut Indulgence Green Tea when I spotted the Twinings salted caramel green tea.
As the chocolate wasn't available, I decided to try the salted caramel green tea.

You could really smell the sweet aroma when the box envelope was opened.
After adding hot water, it just tasted like the usual green tea with a sweet aroma.

Despite the disappointment, I hope to try the other flavours like the ones below but not every supermarket stocks them.

Twinings cherry bakewell:
 Twinings cherry & cinnamon:
 Twinings chocolate coconut:
 Twinings ginger bread:
 Twinings pineapple and grapefruit:
Twinings beetroot with ginger and orange:
 Twinings mango pineapple and ginseng:
Twinings strawberry and cucumber with green tea and aloe vera:
Twinings strawberry raspberry:

[Review] Sainsbury Christmas Teas 2018 - Brussel Sprouts tea and Pigs in Blanket Flavour Tea.

Christmas is more exciting than ever because the food trend is changing.
This year Sainsbury have launched two teas that will make you look twice.

At Sainsbury, you can now get festive Brussel Sprouts tea and Pigs in Blanket Flavour Tea.

Brussels Sprouts Flavour Tea:
For people who dislike sprouts, they are more sensitive to something that they do not like.
As I am ok with sprouts I thought the tea just tasted like green tea so it was nice.

Pigs in Blanket Flavour Tea:
The smell of this one was rather strong, you could smell rosemary and sage as soon as you opened the packet.
As a tea, I found it quite smokey but not too bad.

McDonalds Hong Kong : Matcha cone

I am not a fan of Matcha but this is a popular flavour in Hong Kong.
McDonalds Hong Kong have launched this Matcha softserve.
Matcha cone, Matcha waffle cone, Matcha McFlurrys with genmai and Matcha sundae.
Some of them have a matcha Kitkat served with it.

Decided to try the Matcha Cone so that I could try the softserve and matcha wafer cone but it costs different at different branches.
The tea is also charged differently at different branches.

Overall, I wasn't impressed or surprised because it just tasted like the usual matcha flavour with a creaminess but the cone tasted a bit artificial.

Matcha seafood flavor cup noodles

I was really excited with the Matcha seafood flavor cup noodles because Matcha is such a common flavour that is used everywhere.

The design was also attractive, there is so much detail on it from Mount Fuji, a drome with a face on it carrying a lantern, a cute fortune cat, a geisha, a train at the bottom and lots more.

At the back, it has the usual ingredients and there is a picture of a row of capsule machines.

When you peel back the lid, you will see the usual contents found in a seafood cup noodle such as egg bits, octopus slices, cabbage, carrots and spring onions.

The only thing different is that the broth powder is green and the noodles are green.

After adding hot water it was ready to eat but I couldn't quite taste the matcha.
