[Review] Casino Coquillettes au Ble complet (Macaroni)

While I was shopping I spotted this brown macaroni which was smaller than the average macaroni so had to try it.
It is a French supermarket brand called CASINO which I have tried before in Hong Kong hence worthy of trying.
After it was cooked, you could really taste and feel the wheat when you eat it so overall it was really good.

Casino Saint-Marcellin cheese

Again, I should have googled this cheese before consuming it because the runniness of the cheese increases with age and this answers why there are holes in the packaging!

The texture was similar to camembert but not as strong, however it was lovely and creamy.
Its packaging reminded me of a huge contact lenses case!

Saint-Marcellin is a soft French cheese made from cow's milk. Named after the small town of Saint-Marcellin (Isère), it is produced in a geographical area corresponding to part of the former Dauphiné province (now included in the Rhône-Alpes région). It is generally small in size, weighing about 80 grams (50% fat), with a mottled creamy-white exterior. The degree of runniness increases with age as the exterior gains blue, then yellow, hues within two to three weeks after production.

Casino ile flottante - Floating island

A floating island is a French dessert consisting of meringue floating on crème anglaise (a vanilla custard). The meringues are prepared from whipped egg whites, sugar and vanilla extract then quickly poached. The crème anglaise is prepared with the egg yolks, vanilla, and hot milk, briefly cooked.

Casino had this dessert and it was ready to eat as well!
This is the first time I have seen moist egg whites as a packaged dessert.

Basically it was egg white on top of vanilla cream, there was a sachet of syrup/caramel sauce but I did not need it because the dessert was sweet enough already.

The egg whites were nice and foamy and went well with the vanilla cream which was nice and runny.

Casino : Crème-dessert parfum caramel

Got this canned caramel dessert by Casino.
The size was quite big compared to the British canned desserts such as Ambrosia.

Anyway it tasted just like custard with a strong caramel flavour and it was quite sweet as well.
The other flavors were chocolate and vanilla.

Casino : Barres Cereales - Chocolat Au Lait & Noix De Coco

A cereal bar from a French supermarket Casino.

It is milk chocolate and coconut.

Compared to other cereal bars I have had, I found this one really soft but it could be due to the fact  I tried it in the summer.

It tasted exactly the same as a BOUNTY bar but with less coconut and it was crispier due to the cereal.

Casino Filet de Sardines au citron et basilic

Canned sardine filets from a French supermarket called Casino.

These sardines were in lemon and basil, the lemon was not tangy enough but the basil taste was strong.

The texture of the sardines was not soft enough.
