Discovered the Tajmatsu Sixteen Green Rice at the convenience store, luckily there is an English label with the ingredients.
There are three boxes in a pack.
The 16 grains rice has a glutinous rice texture which was delicious with curry or whatever you have with it but the 160g portion was a bit too small for me.
As as well Coca Cola, Pepsi also has crystal clear one.
I could only get my hands on Coca Cola.
To be honest, it smells like Sprite and tastes like Sprite!
I was a bit disappointed with this because according to youtubers, the Pepsi version smells and tastes like COKE!
I love Natto Beans because of its taste and slimy texture. You either hate or love it. Osato Natto Beans were frozen from the place where I got it from so you defrost to eat.
I was quite surprised the quality was still good compared to the refrigerated ones.
The texture is still slimy.
It comes with Karashi mustard (hot yellow mustard) and savoury natto seasoning.
Personally the beans tasted good on its own or with just a few drops of seasoning because the mustard was too overpowering for me.
I noticed these cup noodles because of the picture of the egg with a runny yolk.
It turns out these cup noodles are sukiyaki flavoured so I am guess adding an onsen egg would make it taste better.
When I peeled the lid back, I was amazed to see lots of huge spring onions pieces and bits of beef that looked very dark in colour compared to other Nissin Cup noodles.
There was a lovely beef and onion smell when I poured hot water in it and evidently the broth was dark.
The Sukiyaki flavour in cup noodle form was definitely delicious as it was like noodles in a strong beef and onion broth.
The sachet gives it a more beefy flavour if you squeeze the lard in.
I love trying new things so I was really excited about this Hokkaido ZomRamen because the noodles and broth are blue according to the Hong Kong distributor [Booth 1D-A30 by Red Gold HK 獨家食品香港總經銷] at the 2017 HKTDC Food exhibition.
Inside the pack, there is a sachet of liquid sauce, blue noodles and a leaflet.
It is interesting that the broth sachet is blue liquid and not the usual powder.
Anyway, to cook, you have to use 600ml of water which I thought was too much at first but then the noodles do absorb the water.
After they become soft, you add the blue concentrated broth liquid which I tried and it was evidently quite strong so it comes out right when added to the water.
With its unusual blue appearance it actually tastes like any other ramen.
There was a strong alkaline smell when I was cooking it but you can't taste it when you eat it.
Discovered this Peyoung chocolate yakisoba which was launched for Valentines day 2017.
I didn't buy this but if I did, I would have probably treated it as a dessert.
Shinichi has tried it and it seems like I haven't missed out!
