Looking at the ingredients, the fishless fillet was the same play as the M&S one which is probably the same supplier made to Coop's specification.
The chips looked like they were freshly cut from a potato and flash fried or cooked quickly to achieve that half cooked look when you can still see it as freshly cut potato chips as the surface is so smooth.
Anyway, the thing that was not quite right was the mushy peas because it was not separated from the chips.
You can not heat the plastic box in the oven so you have to take all the contents out and put it in the oven.
The annoying thing is that ready meals are for convenience and this is clearly not because you have to separate the chips from the peas as they go in the microwave.
Finally tried this when I had some free time because I had to scrape the mushy peas from the chips.
When it was ready, the chips were just as I expected, freshly cut potatoes which still had this raw crunch to it.
The peas were actually nice because it tasted like baby food.
As for the fishless fillet, I felt that there was too much rice in ratio to the other ingredients.
Similar to the M&S version but M&S had a better balance of rice and potato flakes.
