Muller milk and butter

Muller has always been famous for yoghurt and muller corners.
To be honest, I don't know when they started doing milk and butter which I recently discovered at Coop.
The look for the butter is actually stylish so is the milk with a nice purple milk cap.
From their website, they also do cream which is something I would want to try as well because the tub looks nice which I would keep after finishing it.

Sainsburys spiced apple bircher muesli (autumn edition)

I love muesli so when I saw the new Sainsburys spiced apple bircher muesli (autumn edition) I just had to try it because of the spiced apples.
According to Sainsburys it is a low fat Greek style yogurt with a blend of oats, apple juice and apple with a layer of spiced apple compote.

Rana recipe kit review

I have always wanted to try Rana because they have so many pasta products at the supermarkets like the pan fried gnocchi.
There was a promotion on the papers for free recipe kits so I tried one and got hooked on the rest.
It was hard deciding which one to try first because they all seemed good.
The current four are: La Famiglia Rana Classic Italian Recipe Kit Tagliatelle Carbonara, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Four Cheese Fusilli, Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, Mushroom Linguine, Risotto Milanese.
All of these recipe kits are super easy to prepare so I think the recipe kit name makes them appear more sophisticated than they really are.
Overall, portions were on the small side while there was more than enough sauce.
Instructions are simple to follow, all you do is pour the pasta in the box then the sauce and put it in the microwave for 4 minutes and then add the optional herbs/cheese at the end.
As well as Rana, there is a similar competitor trying to tap in the UK market called Pronti Via where there is also a separate pouch of sauce that you pour on the pasta and then microwave.

Tagliatelle Carbonara:
Overall very tasty and not too creamy.

Tagliatelle Bolognese:
My overall favourite because the meat sauce was rich and tasty.

Risotto Milanese:
This was similar to the carbonara but there was a nice rich ham taste in the sauce.
The rice was not too hard or chalky with a chew.

Four Cheese Fusilli:
The four cheese fusilli was a bit too sickly and the fusilli was too firm and chewy compared to the other products.

OmniFoods launches canned OmniTuna

I thought Sainsbury's were barmy selling canned no chuna, but you can now get OmniTuna.
Who knows, it could be the same supplier because supermarkets in the UK have things made for their specification.
After the launch by foodtech company OmniFoods on World’s Ocean Day (8 June) this year, OmniSeafood series becomes the talk of the globe, taking the world by storm with its overwhelming innovations. It has also been introduced in Green Common exclusively, pleasing taste buds with creative and delicious dishes. The much-anticipated retail pack of OmniSeafood will be launching in stages. OmniTuna, the first ambient product of OmniFoods, is taking the lead to hit the shelves, bringing OMNI Impact to your homes. It is not only a versatile plant-based ingredient for a wide range of dishes, but also a big step to protect our precious ocean. OmniTuna is now available for pre-order on Green Common eShop starting today.
Heavy metals and micro-plastics are major sources of ocean pollution, causing hazardous effect on the marine ecosystem. Tuna resides in the deep ocean, is often polluted by heavy metals and mercury, which adversely affects pregnant women and children growth, arousing wide concern for the safety of seafood consumption.
Made from a unique blend of non-GMO soy, OmniTuna does not compromise on taste and texture. As a safe, mercury-free and healthy alternative, this plant-based tuna is just as convenient as traditional canned tuna. An ambient product that you can stock on your shelves, OmniTuna is ready as soon as you open the can. Its slight briny taste makes it perfect with sandwiches, salad, sushi and toast. Cook it with pasta, risotto and pies for a taste fresh out of the sea. Soaked in canola oil and algae oil, OmniTuna provides omega-3s commonly found in deep sea fish (450mg of omega-3 ALA and 120mg of omega-3 DHA per 100g), with a polyunsaturated fat content comparable to canned tuna*. OmniTuna is also high in protein, a source of fiber, low in saturated fat, zero cholesterol, Buddhist-friendly, and free from artificial colourings, added hormones, antibiotics, and preservatives, making it a sustainable, nutritious and palatable tuna substitute.

OmniTuna is available for pre-order on Green Common eShop now, and retailing in stores and eShop starting from 4 November. To taste the new wave, Green Common members can enjoy a trial price of HKD 16.5 (original price: HKD 23.9) for one can of OmniTuna**. OmniTuna will be available in leading local supermarket chains and online platforms very soon. Besides, three new OmniTuna dishes, OmniTuna Fusilli, OmniTuna Quesadilla and OmniTuna Salad will also be available at selected Green Common in November.\

Sainsburys Plant Pioneers Tofu Chunks in soy & spring onion sauce

As well as canned no chuna, Plant pioneers are now doing canned tofu cubes!!
That's a first for me.
There are four flavours: chilli & garlic sauce, smoke flavoured water, soy & spring onion sauce and tofu chunks in water.
I should have got the plain one because the tofu chunks in soy & spring onion sauce were too sweet just like their canned chuna predecessor.
The tofu cubes were in this horrible thick sweet sauce and it had a smoky taste as well.
Really regretting not getting the plain.
I know you can buy cartons of tofu but I just had to give it a try because it was plant pioneers.
