Dr Oetker Creme Ole

I was given these Dr Oetker Creme Ole which are similar to angel delight.
There was chocolate and custard.
They are easy to make by just adding milk and mixing it together.
Overall, they were nice but I wouldn't buy them again.
I also spotted a pistachio pudding but didn't get it because it requires cooking.

Muller Pistachio Rice Pudding - Riso Pistacja

I love rice pudding and pistachio so pistachio rice pudding by Muller seemed like a good idea.
Other flavours in the series are raspberry, chocolate, chocolate hazelnut and strawberry.
It took me a while to decided whether to buy it because I hate the sweeteners that Muller use.
In the end it was not my cup of tea because the guar gum and sweeteners were artificial and affected the taste.
I would have been better off buying rice pudding from M&S and adding pistachio to it myself.
Rating: 1/5

M&S Strawberry and Yoghurt rice cakes

Ever since Marks and Spencers have launched these rice cakes topped with yoghurt and freeze dried strawberries, I have been meaning to try it.
They were light and delicious with delicious so I am so glad I tried them.

Maggi Chilli Masala Sauce

While I was at the supermarket, I was surprised to discover that Maggi had a chilli sauce with masala.
Ended up buying it was it was quite unusual.
As with all Maggi sauces, they are quite hot to the palate and the Maggi chilli masala is also the same but with a cumin kick to it as well.

Lost the Pot Noodles adds two new flavours including the VEGAN Vegetable

About a year ago we saw POT NOODLES lose the pot and launching these Lost the Pot noodles where you prepare them in the same way as other instant noodles.
Most people thought they lost the plot but this year they have added two new flavours to the series.
These are the VEGAN Vegetable (peas and quiet) and the Vegetarian Tomato and Cheese (cheesy on the eyes)
As a pot noodle fan, I had to try them.
Sadly, I wasn't one of the first to trial them in March 2020 when they had a product trial posted on net mums.
Finally spotted them recently at Sainsburys for 50p so got them both.
I ended up trying the Vegetable (peas and quiet) first.
The flavouring sachet was quite green with a strong smell of broccoli that it reminded me of those sachets of broccoli cuppa soups and visually you could see quite a fair bit of dehydrated broccoli bits in it.
To be honest, I found it really tasty because they appropriately used strong vegetables like broccoli, kale and peas to give it flavour without the salt.

The next day I tried the Tomato and Cheese, the flavouring sachet had a strong cheesy smell.
Overall, it was nice but the vegetable fared better.
The cheese and tomato flavour was mild so it could have done better if the flavours were stronger.
To summarize, I prefer the vegetable flavour.

Three Fold Hard Seltzer at Boxpark

To honest, I have only seen Three Fold Hard Seltzer on social media posts.
I finally got to try them at their booth at Boxpark Shoreditch where I was given a environmentally friendly reusable metal straw.
They are called Three Fold because the drink is made from three ingredients and comes in three flavours: tropical, citrus and red berries.
They are sweetened with natrual Agave syrup and gluten free because they are made with cider.
Overall, as a light drinker, I liked the fruity flavours and fun can design.

Eel-less jellied eels and Lotus Tea at Chatsworth Market

As a lover of pie mash and jellied eels, I discovered that you could get fresh shellfish at Chatsworth Market from a post on Pie Mash appreciation group.
I was so ecstatic when I found out because I usually travel to Romford to get fresh brown shrimps, winkles and all that.
Chatsworth market is only held on Sundays so made a special trip to Homerton to get my shellfish fix!
Finally got to Chatsworth market and it was near the beginning so I didn't really have to look for it.
They had fresh shrimp, winkles etc which are all sold by pint but what caught my eyes were the tubs of jelly!
My eyes sparkled with excitement because I love the jelly but can't be bothered to eat the eels and here they were solely selling tubs of jelly!!!!!!
Some pie mash shops don't really sell jelly on their own except for Cockney's but you can request for extra jelly and here it was only a quid too! What a bargain.
To go with it, I added lashings of vinegar to it and the jelly was so comforting because it was basically savoury jelly with a umami taste like fish stock because it is made from boiled with eels and loaded with collagen from the eel skin.
I was so satisfied and happy after eating that tub of jelly that I was thinking whether I should get another tub.
A tea would definitely be a perfect after having some jelly.
It just so happened, the lady from the stall got some tea from the joint opposite so I went over to have a look and there were some unusual offerings like Lotus tea, Artichoke tea and regular Yorkshire Tea.
The stall owner was really nice and let me try their Lotus tea which turned out to be thirst quenching and had a lovely aroma so I ended up getting a cup of Lotus tea for 1.50.
The temperature of the tea was just right to appreciate it.
The lotus tea had a similar aroma taste to Jasmine but with a slight bitterness and basically if you have tried lotus wrapped food you will know the floral aroma I am talking about.
Overall, I was so glad I tried it because strangely I didn't come across any lotus tea in Asia.
The owner was really good and gave me some Artichoke tea bags to try at home which taste slightly sweet and woody.

Khan's Bargains in Peckham

I was drawn by Khan's Bargains because it looked old so went in and had a look.
The products in there were amazing, there was food, household products and then DIY products at the other side with this quirky door between the aisle.
It was funky because they had pot noodles in a non working fridge as the whole place was just organized yet disorganized, I was entertained but some other random person said it was messy.
On the ceiling were these colourful hanging decorations and the giant green geometrical plastic foil sphere was stunning because of the size.
This was when I noticed a beautiful vaulted ceiling with glass lenses called lens crete which were popular in the 1930s according the architect Benny O Looney.
Later I found out that this used to be Holdens department store so in a way I am glad to see it in a similar fashion selling everything just like a department store rather than divided into smaller shop units and now really showcasing the architecture.
