Boots NEW festive VEGAN no turkey sandwich and vegan Christmas Market sandwich [review]

New Vegan festive sandwiches at Boots for Christmas!
Boots have launched the festive VEGAN no turkey sandwich as well as vegan Christmas Market sandwich.

Vegan No Turkey Feast

Vegan Christmas Market with vegan sausage
I ended up getting the Vegan Christmas Market sandwich because the no turkey was similar to the Lidl and M&S one which is just soya chunks.
Saying that, the Boots Vegan no turkey does seem good because it has red cabbage in it.
The Vegan sausage sandwich was definitely good as expected because they had the vegan breakfast sandwich which deemed popular hence the Christmas Market sandwich.
Apart from the onion jam being too sweet, the taste was amazing because the finely chopped cabbages gave it a nice crunch and the sausage slices were herby.
As well as the tasty sandwich, the sandwich box was well designed on each side especially the colourful stripes on the side but the bauble with 404 calories reminds me of the internet error 404 or perhaps I am too nerdy.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten free - Free Range Egg & Watercress sandwich

As with all gluten free and wheat free I find that the pastry does not hold well.

This time I got the Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten free - Free Range Egg & Watercress sandwich and forgot that it was wheat free because I just felt like some egg and watercress.

Taking the sandwich out I noticed how fragile and dry the sandwich was, it was literally crumbling as I ate.

Apart from the bread, the egg and watercress was the usual fare.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Roast Chicken & Stuffing Sandwich

The Marks and Spencers Roast Chicken & Stuffing Sandwich was simply delicious, the creamy mayonnaise and stuffing were divine together while the chicken was tender and moist.
You can really taste the sage in the stuffing so it feels really comforting like having roast.

[Review] Tesco Prawn Mayonnaise Sandwich

My favourite sandwich is always the Prawn Mayonnaise.
This time had the Tesco Prawn Mayonnaise Sandwich which was satisfying, the prawns were bouncy and creamy.

[Review] Co-op Prawn and Mayo Sandwich

The Co-op Prawn and Mayo Sandwich was how it should be but wasn't a bit memorable.
The only thing I remembered was that it was not uniformly filled and the sandwich was slightly soggy.

Had this sandwich again a year later and the mayonnaise was much tastier.

[Review] Co-op Ham, Cheese and Pickle Sandwich

Just felt like a sandwich, so got the Co-op Ham, Cheese and Pickle Sandwich.
It was ok but I felt that the pickles didn't have enough punch as it veered towards the sweet side while the ham was a bit thin.
The lettuce in it was annoying as well.

[Review] M&S Plant Kitchen No Tuna & Sweetcorn Sandwich

I have always been curious about the M&S Plant Kitchen No Tuna & Sweetcorn Sandwich because what could they put in to replace the tuna.
It turns out to be soya chunks which looks convincingly like tuna but the texture was a little chewy compared to tuna.
The taste was really good without the fishiness complemented by the sweetcorn and the dressing they use was refreshing.

[Review] M&S Plant Kitchen No Egg & Watercress Sandwich

I have always been curious about the M&S Plant Kitchen No Egg & Watercress Sandwich because what could they put in to replace the egg.
It turns out to be firm tofu and I was so glad I tried it because it was really tasty and the smart use of the crushed cannellini beans gave it that starchy cooked egg yolk texture.
There was also black pepper in it which gave it that extra depth so this sandwich is definitely worth trying.

[Review] Morrisons cheese and onion sandwich

Cheese and Onion Sandwich is the probably the cheapest sandwich around which I find simple and delicious.
Tried the Morrisons one which was how you would expect it to taste in the sense that the cheese was sharp while the onions were balanced.
The creamy mayonnaise blended in nicely.

Marks and Spencers cheese filler

Went to my favourite grocery store to get some filler for my sandwich.

I was deciding between prawn and mayonnaise or the cheese, but in the end I picked cheese.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★

Taw valley mature cheddar, red leicester cheese and onion deli filler:

I used the filler on some ordinary brown bread and it tasted delicious.
Even though there were two cheeses in it, the taste was lovely and subtle balanced by the onions in it.
The mayonnaise in the filler held it all together making it nice and creamy and the cheese pieces were nice and soft..

Signature 7 Shrimp Mayo turkey loaf wheat sandwich

This is a French inspired sandwich, which does not appear to be French apart from the printed flag on the sandwich cover.
Basically it just has grounded prawns, a piece of turkey and lettuce in the sandwich.
I found the sandwich quite soggy and it just basically tasted sweet.

7-SIGNATURE Lobster and Tobiko salad sandwich

7-SIGNATURE Lobster and Tobiko salad sandwich 龍蝦蟹籽沙律三文治

Apart from trying the Crabmeat and Mentaiko salad sandwich (http://supersupergirl-food.blogspot.com/2012/04/7-signature-mentaiko-and-crab-meat.html), this was the other one I wanted to try too.

It had much more filling compared to the other one.

I felt that there was some confusion with the Chinese labelling and English because of the Tobiko.
Tobiko (とびこ, in Japanese) is the Japanese word for the flying fish roe used to create certain types of sushi.
But the Chinese description said 蟹籽 which is not tobiko.

Anyway, the lobster and tobiko filling is peach coloured and most probably food colouring.
The filling was quite soft and puree like.
I found it really sweet and the lobster was tasteless.
