Tesco smoked Beechwood bacon and ketchup sandwich

I have always wanted to try this smoked bacon and ketchup sandwich and it did not disappoint.
The sweet ketchup was actually nice but not in an offending cloying way while the bacon was not too overly salty or fatty.
Best warmed in the microwave for 12 seconds to wake up the bread and bacon.

M&S Smoked Ham & Mustard Mayonnaise Sandwich on Soft Oatmeal Bread

I love sandwiches so this time got the M&S Smoked Ham & Mustard Mayonnaise Sandwich on Soft Oatmeal Bread.

The smoked ham was really strong but the smoke was a bit too dry for my liking.

M&S Marks Spencer Vegetarian sandwich selection and Afternoon tea sandwich selection

Spotted the Afternoon tea sandwich selection and the Vegetarian sandwich selection which are ideal for trying different sandwiches.

For the Afternoon tea sandwich selection, there was smoked salmon and cream cheese, cheese and onion, egg and cress, roast chicken and avocado.

I got the Vegetarian sandwich selection because it had the Wensleydale and carrot chutney which is not a sandwich that I would buy as I am not keen on carrots, also in the selection were tomato and egg in salad cream sauce, ploughmans and egg and cress.

As expected the Wensleydale and carrot chutney was my least favourite because it was too sweet for liking so I am glad it was in this selection which saved me forking out on a regular one.

The rest of the sandwiches were delicious especially the egg and tomato which is one that I thought was too simple try.

M&S Marks and Spencers Roast beef and horseradish mayo sandwich

I know its just a sandwich but the creamy horseradish mayo was lovely and creamy with a salty kick.
The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender complimented by the lush spinach leaves.

Veganuary 2020 no tuna and no cheese sandwich review at Boots

Boots does some great vegan sandwiches.

They have launched a new limited edition range of vegan sandwiches for Veganuary 2021.

No Tuna & Sweetcorn — chickpeas and soy protein with sweetcorn, vegan mayo and lemon juice, on malted bread.

No Cheese & Onion — smoky vegan cheese with onions and mustard, on oatmeal bread.

No Chicken Salad — seasoned wheat gluten and soy pieces with vegan mayo, lemon juice, lettuce, and tomato, on malted bread.

No Duck & Hoisin — seasoned wheat gluten and soy pieces with hoisin sauce, cucumber, lettuce, and spring onion, in a wheat wrap.

£3, or £3.39 as part of the Boots meal deal.

So far I ended up trying the no cheese and onion and the no tuna sweetcorn.
The no cheese and onion was good as expected but it was quite different to how I expected it to taste but it was memorable.
What hit me was the strong grassy green onion notes that you get in the regular version but stronger.
As for the coconut based cheese, I think the taste was heavily hidden under the green onion so it feels like you are eating a regular cheese and onion sandwich because you got that grated cheese texture in it.

The no tuna Sweetcorn was also memorable.
On the sandwich box, it says chickpeas and soy protein with sweetcorn, vegan mayo and lemon juice, on malted bread but what really hits you is the dill but it is not in the highlights but listed as an ingredients.
I love dill therefore I liked the no tuna sandwich but certainly memorable because of the dill.
In terms of texture, it was similar to mixed tuna because the starchy chickpeas and soy protein made it feel like minced tuna fibres.
The sweetcorn in it also had a nice crunch.

Looking forward to try the no duck soon.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Truffled Egg & Honey Roast Ham

I was captivated by the Marks and Spencers Truffled Egg & Honey Roast Ham sandwich because you get a poached egg with a slight runny yolk.
Personally I am not keen on truffle because if it is not executed well it tastes like petrol!
Anyway, the truffle didn't stop me so I ended up getting it.
As well as the poached egg, there is also truffled egg mayonnaise so you are eating quite a bit of egg there but the sandwich is nicely balanced with watercress and honey roast ham so I really recommend this sandwich.

[Review] Co-op Irresistible Hand Made New York Deli Sandwich

The Co-op Irresistible Hand Made New York Deli Sandwich looked quite good so got it.
The sandwich is filled with peppered British beef pastrami with Monterey Jack cheese, sauerkraut, tomatoes, lettuce, gherkins and mustard mayonnaise on soft rye bread.
The combination of all those ingredients were tasty but the only thing that let it down was the pastrami which was a bit tough and chewy.

[Review] Sainsburys Ultimate Christmas Feast sandwich with gravy and mayonnaise

Spotted the Ultimate Christmas sandwich with gravy and mayo at Sainsburys so had to try it.
The sandwich ingredients were captivating especially mayonnaise and gravy.
The best thing is that there is savoy cabbage, Brussel sprouts, pork sage and onion stuffing crammed into the sandwich.
As a roast dinner fan, it was definitely satisfying.
Every bite was loaded as if you were eating roast dinner in sandwich.
It tastes even better warmed up for 40 seconds in the microwave and also good with more gravy!!!

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Coronation chicken Sandwich

Coronation Chicken is a post war favourite made of dried apricot and not raisins, and the use of curry powder.
These days raisins are used instead of apricots.
Tried the Marks and Spencers Coronation chicken Sandwich which I found a little too sweet because of the raisins hence I would recommend the Pret A Manger version.

Halloween 2020 pumpkin carving

I have never carved a pumpkin before but was given one to carve for my niece.

It was a small pumpkin so I didn't bother to scoop out the inside so I carved a cat face which I saw the other day.
