Nissin oxtail cup noodle 日清無臭大蒜蛋黃牛尾湯杯麵

As I can't read Japanese I couldn't quite make sense of this flavour but the Chinese labelling seems to decipher garlic, egg white and oxtail as the main ingredients.
The design of the cup noodle is the same as the 45th anniversary series where they had controversial sharks fin and turtle.

Chinese labelling:

I found pieces of black fungus, bell peppers, spring onions and beef which can be found when you peel back the lid.

After adding water the broth was quite white and milky.
The sauce added in:

The smell was strangely like Parmesan mixed with milk and the taste was creamy and oily.

The bits of beef were thinly sliced just like the ones you find at Yoshinoya beef rice bowls.

Nampo Benimo Tart

I was given this box of Sweet purple potato Benimo tarts from a friend who went to Japan.

Inside the box, there were three individually packed tarts, which were delicious because the tart base was not too hard and the sweet purple potato filling was velvety with a fragrant taste that was not too sweet.

Other tarts in the series.

Frito-lay Rich Giza Spicy Grill chicken snacks

These snacks look like mini crinkle cut squares and Shreddies cornflakes.
As for the taste, it had a strong black pepper taste and they were quite salty.

Myojo Ippei-Chan Yakisoba with mayo 一平ちゃん 夜店の焼

I got these noodles because there were about three fun sauces/condiments inside to put in the noodles: Japanese style mayonnaise, seasoning and sauce.

When you peel back the lid, the dehydrated vegetables are already with the noodles and the other three sachets of sauces are separate.

The reason I liked the packaging is that these noodles need to drained and they have designed some holes where the water can be drained.

There are three other noodles in this series that have mayonnaise but the website does not have ENGLISH!!!

From the online translations the other flavours appear to be mustard, mentaiko and sea salt and the other one I cant quite make out.

Anyway, the noodles tasted delicious, although my pictures do not look as good as the ones in the video because I did not take photos of the condiments mixed.

Meiji Jyaga cheese

These snacks look like pillows filled with cheese.
They were crunchy and quite cheesy with a starchy paste texture.

Vegetable jelly

Normally jellies are fruit flavoured but I happened to come across one that was made of vegetables by a Japanese brand called Woody Village.
On the side of the cup, it shows the vegetables that are in the jelly.

After peeling the lid, you can see tomato seeds in the jelly.

There were bits and pieces of vegetables in it.
As for the taste, there was a strong tomato taste but I didn't like it because it tasted artificially sweet which is really weird because tomatoes are not meant to be sweet.

There was also carrot jelly as well so I wonder how that would taste.

Otsuka SOYSH sparkling soy water

The small white pearlescent bottle caught my attention.

After taking a closer look, I realized it was Sparkling soy water! How interesting because I have never seen soy water before.

Usually soymilk comes in milk form so I was really curious whether the drink would be clear of milky!~

It is interesting because from their website, they are a pharmaceutical company.
http://www.otsuka.co.jp/en/company/release/2011/0202_01.html

I am not sure if the drink contains alcohol but the English labelling from the supermarket says: soy cider!

There was an interesting ring pull design to open the bottle, once it was opened, the drink inside was a milky white colour.

The taste was quite milky and smooth but not too sweet with a fizz.

There was a really nasty artificial banana smell with a hint of banana and minty aftertaste just like medicine probably because it is produced by a pharmaceutical company!
Also from their website, SoyJoy bars are made by them too which I have tried before.

I would love to try the Fruity Tomato soyjoy bar and the Prune Fe Plus soyjoy bar if I could find them.

Maruchan wonton seaweed soup

I was surprised to see instant wontons because they usually come frozen or freshly made to be cooked.
There were quite a few flavours but I got the one with seaweed because I like seaweed.
Basically it contained dried wontons and a sachet of soup base.

It was simple to prepare, just open the lid, put the sachet of soup on the bowl, and add water to the line!

After a few minutes, the wontons were soft with pieces of shiitake mushrooms and seaweed floating in the soup.
The soup was quite nice and the wontons were smaller filled with grounded meat that was not as fatty as the fresh ones.
After googling it, I was surprised that it is a best seller in Japan and their brand came as early as 1993.
See supplemetary info from their pdf report.
