Continental sachet soups from Australia

My friend was in Auz, so took this opportunity to try some Auzzie supermarket products so got the Continental soups.
There were so many flavours to choose from.
It is interesting that they come in boxes which contain two sachets whereas in UK, you get four but it is good if you are in a small household or just want to try the different flavours.
There was steak and mushroom aka beef and mushroom but I decided to try the Dutch Curry with rice and Laksa with noodles.
The Continental Asian Laksa soup smells and tastes exactly like Batchelors Thai green curry soup with a strong coconut and chicken notes.
I haven't a clue what Dutch Curry is hence the curiosity to try this.
It was actually quite spicy but I only got two peas unlike 6 as shown in the product shot.
The pieces of rice were nice but they wouldn't go soft so they were a bit to hard and crunchy to eat.
Overall, apart from being a bit spicy, it was quite nice.

Knorr Goracy Kubek Ogorkowa - Polish dill pickle instant soup review

I am gradually trying my way through Polish food that can be found at the supermarkets so this time I got myself some instant soup.
You will find lots of polish dishes with dill pickles and beetroot so I tried the Polish dill pickle instant soup which is also available in instant noodle form.
I knew I can going to like this because pickles and dill are just things I like.
The soup was lighter than imagined but the taste was quite comforting because you have that fragrant dill and then the pickles with an umami aftertaste.
Will be trying the other soups that I got soon so stay tuned.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Chunky Spicy Keralan Chicken Soup

I have almost tried all the M&S soups so when I spotted the Marks and Spencers Chunky Spicy Keralan Chicken Soup I just had to give it a try.
Unfortunately, some bright spark used on pasta so the taste was a bit diluted mixed with other things in the pasta.
Luckily it was just ham and pumpkin in the pasta so the taste of the Keralan soup didn't get polluted.
Overall, it has a lovely spicy curry kick but I need to get this again to try it properly.

As a foodie, I had to get the soup again, and this time having it as proper soup was like the MS chunky Thai soup without the lemongrass but the flavour was in a different direction with notes of turmeric and ginger.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Smooth Tomato & Basil Soup

Tried Marks and Spencers Smooth Tomato & Basil Soup which was quite tangy hence it went well with M&S Brioche buns which are quite sweet.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Chunky Smoked Haddock Chowder Soup

I love smoked haddock hence tried the Marks and Spencers Chunky Smoked Haddock Chowder Soup which had chunk of haddock.
The soup was creamy and comforting with potato and leeks in it.

[Review] Sainsbury's Butternut Squash & Chilli Soup

Soups can be comforting in winter especially when they are velvety and smooth which was the case of  Sainsbury's Butternut Squash & Chilli Soup.
The chilli in the soup gave it another dimension which was warming with a spicy kick.
Overall, the Butternut Squash & Chilli Soup is a nice change from your regular butternut squash.

[Review] Sainsburys Taste the Difference French Onion Soup with Gruyere

French Onion Soup with Gruyere is a soup that I would have at restaurants but since Sainsburys had it I decided to give it a try.
Out of all the soups I have tried from the supermarket, this one is slightly different in the sense that it is not blended with cream.

Anyway, after heating it in the microwave the soup looked promising.

The taste of this soup was as good as the restaurants but it was a bit different as there was cider in it which gave it an alcoholic kick with a hint of bitterness followed by the sweetness of the onions.
There was quite a fair amount of caramelized onions and there was gruyere cheese as well which turned out a bit chewy.
Overall I liked it and it was comforting having restaurant style soups at home.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Smooth Broccoli & Stilton Soup

Tried the Marks and Spencers Smooth Broccoli & Stilton Soup which is I think could be a bit hard core for some people.
I think the trick is not to over heat the soup or the Stilton will go a bit pungent.
Overall, I am ok with Stilton so I liked it.

The Marks and Spencers Chunky Chilli Beef Soup is another nice and filling soup as it had a nice kick of spices and filling rice.

[Review] Morrisons Fresh Ideas Carrot, Butternut & Ginger Soup

At Morrisons, it appears they have combine two soups in one.
They have combined the carrot and coriander with the butternut.
Anyway, decided to give it a try as I have not tried the fresh soups at Morrisons.
It was not a bad soup.
You are hit with notes of raw carrots then some bitterness followed by the mild fiery ginger kick.
Overall, it was quite nice because it wasn't sweet and it was light.
I liked it because it did not contain any cream or butter which makes it healthy.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Smooth Pea and Mint Soup

The soup range at Marks and Spencers is amazing, there are so many soups that range from smooth, chunky to Thai soups.
This time got the Marks and Spencers Smooth Pea and Mint Soup.
As well as Pea and Mint, they also have Pea and Ham which I tried earlier.

M&S Marks and Spencers Pea and mint soup

It is interesting how the pea and mint and the pea and ham could both taste so different.
With the pea and mint soup, you could taste the freshly blended mint leaves and then you have tender peas popping in your mouth so I loved this smooth.
If you prefer the thick mushy peas and starchy texture then go for the pea and ham soup which can be quite filling.

Overall, the pea and mint soup is highly recommended unless you have something against mint!

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Smooth Cream of Tomato Soup

I love Marks and Spencers soup range so I am gradually trying all of them.
This time tried the Marks and Spencers Smooth Cream of Tomato Soup which is probably the most basic one.
The taste was really memorable because it was really strong like tomato juice with a dash of cream mixed into it which makes it different to other cream of tomato soups.
Overall, I liked it because I liked it because it tasted a bit like tomato juice.

Batchelors Cup a soup - Greek Inspired Tomato & Black Olive Soup

I tried this because the soup had black olives in it.

Inside the box are four sachets.

The taste of the soup was quite tart but not as thick as it claims.

I wish there were more chunky pieces of olives in the soup.
