Maruchan wonton seaweed soup

I was surprised to see instant wontons because they usually come frozen or freshly made to be cooked.
There were quite a few flavours but I got the one with seaweed because I like seaweed.
Basically it contained dried wontons and a sachet of soup base.

It was simple to prepare, just open the lid, put the sachet of soup on the bowl, and add water to the line!

After a few minutes, the wontons were soft with pieces of shiitake mushrooms and seaweed floating in the soup.
The soup was quite nice and the wontons were smaller filled with grounded meat that was not as fatty as the fresh ones.
After googling it, I was surprised that it is a best seller in Japan and their brand came as early as 1993.
See supplemetary info from their pdf report.

Si Wu Tang Four Herbs Drink:

Basically you make this drink by putting the herbs bag into the cup and adding hot water and letting it infuse for 7 minutes or longer for a stronger taste.
The colour of the drink was quite dark and the smell of Dongwai was strong.
As for the taste it was really nice, personally I liked it strong so I left it for 8 minutes and there is a hint of sweetness which is good.

The Si Wu Tang Four Herbs Drink can be bought from CR Care, Apita, UNY, Piago, Yata, AEON, Health Plus and Sasa.

The soup comes in a box of 10 sachets with the herbs contained in a filter bag.

Casino : Soupe de Poisson

I was only able to find this fish soup in the 1L size unlike their other soup flavours which come in 250ml sizes ( the size of the usual carton drinks).

The colour of this soup was dark burgandy red and there was so much fish fibres in it.
Very fishy like lobster bisque and prawn.

Other soups that I would like to try: Velouté Epinards et Artichauts (artichoke soup)

Ainsley Harriott Moroccan Fusion With Cous Cous Cup Soup

Instant lamb flavoured soup with cous cous.

I loved the soup especially the cumin and spices, the taste of lamb was faint and not gamey at all.
The cous cous tasted nice and you need to wait a few minutes for it to become soft.

Batchelors Cup a soup - rich tomato and basil

The soup was not as creamy as stated, but after pouring water and leaving it for a while it thickened.

The taste of basil could have been stronger and the taste of the tomato was quite sour.

Baxters Stay Full Broccoli, Salmon and Watercress Soup

Tried the Broccoli, Salmon and Watercress soup by Baxters Stay Full range.

I was very impressed by this soup and found it very wholesome.

It is different from other soups because it is about 30% soup and the rest of the 70% are the filling ingredients such as Celery, Broccoli, Onions, Leeks, Peas, Edamame Beans, Potatoes, Watercress, Pinto Beans, Salmon, Pearl Barley and Crème Fraiche.

The only disappointment was the Salmon, I was expecting more Salmon and the pieces of salmon were tiny!It was about the size of a 9mm cube and smaller than a pea.
But anyway the taste was really nice.

I was also expecting to find some whole pieces of broccoli too but it was finely chopped.

However there were lots of pulses.

Baxters Stay Full Spiced Butternut Squash and Edamame Bean Soup

Also tried this as well as the Broccoli, Salmon and watercress soup.

I knew this was not going to taste as good as the Broccoli one so I had no expectations for it.

Overall, the soup was OK, again about 30% soup and 70% of (Butternut Squash, Butterbeans, Carrots, Edamame Beans, Haricot Beans, Red Peppers, Sweet Potato, Onions, Celery and Yellow Split Peas).
The smell was quite pleasant with a hint of cumin and the butterbeans were huge.

Nile spice couscous lentil curry soup

From the Nile spice couscous soup range, I have only tried the minestrone one and the Lentil curry.
The minestrone flavour was not that strong hence the couscous had some strange taste to it.
Anyway, the curry in this one was strong which took away the strange taste.
There were generous amounts of lentils in it.
If you prefer the couscous texture soft, then stand it for an extra few minutes.
