elite naturel fig juice

I havent tried fig juice before, so tried the fig juice by elite naturel, a Turkish product.

It was very thick and sweet.
After diluting, it tasted better.
There was real fig seeds in the drink!

I want to try the melon juice too!

Kullanard's mangosteen fruit cookies

Was attracted by Kullanard's cookie range because of its unusual flavours, not unusual in Thailand but unusual for places that do not sell them!
The cookie flavours were: mangosteen, mango and durian.

mangosteen, mango or durian

I got the mangosteen flavour because the other two I could roughly imagine the taste.
The cookies were convenient, they were individually packed.

Individual packets

The cookie itself was softer than I expected, but had a nice mangosteen aroma to it.
It was slightly pinkish too.
It tasted like a Ribena flavoured cookie!

As well as cookies they had crispy rolls, the ones I found interesting were Tom Yum Gung, Banana flavour!

Tom yum kung or banana crispy rolls!!

Pepperidge farm Fresa Verona

The cookie base has lots of wheat which you can visually see.
They also have apricot with strawberry flavour too, maybe the apricot would balance out the fake strawberry jam.

I thought these were going to taste nice but I didnt really like them, the taste was too buttery and the taste of strawberry jam was too fake.

I was bored of soy sauce, so got Chilimansi and Calamansi sauce, both are nice because it contains calamansi.
The Chilimansi is a nice mix of chili and calamansi.

Denmark's Tulip brand chopped ham

Not the ham I was expecting, it was just fatty luncheon meat.
I wish the supermarket would import more international stuff!

Nile spice split pea soup

Again, the packaging attracted me. I thought it was from the Middle east because of the spice and the Nile, but split peas soup is Western. According to their website www.nilespice.com, they are American.

When I peeled the lid back, it was interesting to find dehydrated pieces and not powder.

After adding boiling water to the suggested level, I was surprised how thick it was, the consistency was the same as the soups served in restaurants.

The taste was actually decent just like the restaurant ones, it was not powdery or milky.
It was slightly starchy but this is because it had real peas and it was very wholesome too.
It contained some green leafy vegetables as well.
I could taste a mixture of tastes such as seaweed, curry, and a smoky taste too.
After browsing their site, I wanted to try their other soups: cheese and broccoli, couscous and parmesan!
But it is a shame they only import the ones people are accustomed to.

French escargots with shells!! 蝸牛 and 管裝田螺

If it was not for the snail shells I would not have walked over to have a look!
I really liked the concept of the shells being sold with the escargots.
Anyway, I did'nt look at the Chinese labelling until I transferred the pictures to my PC.
It was interesting that both the same products are labelled using different terms that mean the same thing!
Field snails and Snails!
蝸牛 and 管裝田螺
Why isnt it Escargots and Escargots with Shells!
