MAMA Shrimp tom yum flavour instant noodles

MAMA noodles in general are really spicy so I tried the Shrimp tom yum because the shrimp "creamy" tom yum was not.
The tom yum soup tastes just like the restaurant which makes me suspect restaurants use soup powder mix for their broths.
Overall, it was really nice and more refreshing than the creamy tom yum version.

LAYs Thailand Namtok Hotpot Flavour

Forgot to take a picture of the crisps inside but the taste was slightly strange for me because it was sweet with a strong aniseed taste and a hint of basil.

Ampol Food Beverages

Discovered some drinks by Ampol food, which come from Thailand.
There are two series Vfit and Pro-fit.

It was good because they had English as well as Thai and they have sugar free selections as well.

There was a good selection of rice drinks and they even had jobs tear cereal milk.

jobs tear cereal milk:

+++++++++++
young rice milk:

+++++++++++
germinated brown rice drink:

+++++++++++
All of them were pleasant to drink, rice was the best because it is naturally sweet.

Baby food - Chicken liver + rice + mixed veggies

Obviously I didn't get this from Thailand but it was good they had English and a great packaging that was clear and colourful.

On the rack, there were three flavours:
- Chicken liver, rice, mixed veggies
- Salmon, potato, sweetcorn, spinach
- Chicken, egg yolk, rice, mixed veggies

I ended up getting the chicken liver because you don't often get baby food with chicken liver.

When I googled this brand, I found other baby cookies too and they had salmon spinach cookies and chicken and corn cookies.
https://www.facebook.com/Picnicbabyfood

Inside the packet, you get a baby spoon too!!

The taste was interesting, there was a slight hint of bitterness most probably because of the chicken liver.

Anyway, babies won't have to worry about their cholesterol levels!!

Dehydrated Cantaloupe melon (Low Sugar) by Jfruit

You don't often see dehydrated cantaloupe melon which was I why I had to try it.
Usually the dehydrated fruits you find are mango, pineapple, bananas, apricots and others.

The packaging was really good, it looked like a melon, inside the packet were individual packets.
The taste and texture was interesting, it was chewy but sweeter than the fresh form.
Jfruit is from Thailand, so rest assured there is English labelling and nutritional facts printed on the pack.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on their dehydrated mangosteen!

PRETZ Tom Yum Kung

Thanks to Lemon Tea for these delicious Tom Yum Kung flavoured PRETZ sticks by Glico in Thailand.

The flavour of these were intense and savory, with hints of lemon, lemongrass and they were quite spicy too with a spicy aftertaste.
The hint of lemon was the best with visible herbs on the Pretz sticks.
After eating half the packet, my tastebuds became accustomed to the spices and they smelt and tasted like the savory lemon puffs by the Garden brand.

King Island Coconut Milk with Coconut Water

Usually for beverages it is either coconut milk or coconut water, but this drink by King Island is the combination of coconut milk and coconut water.

The taste was surprisingly nice because I cannot drink coconut milk on its own because it is very sickly and milky but the addition of coconut water lightens it up and gives it some light sweetness too.

Smile Food :Me Mi Nori

This seaweed snack was quite cute because in this small pack of fried seaweed, there is a tiny sachet of sauce.

It is basically tempura seaweed, however when you eat it, there is not much seaweed taste.
It tastes ok without the sauce, but when you put the sauce it tastes much nicer, but the sauce is slightly spicy as the sauce is sweet and spicy.

In the packet, there are about three pieces of seaweed.

Virgin CoCo Coconut crispy rolls Cocoa Dip

Nicely packaged crispy rolls dipped in Chocolate, however the chocolate melts so not very good if it is a hot day.

The labelling has English which is good.

As for the taste they tasted quite nice but there was some plasticky taste as well from the packaging.

Tom Yum Crisp Original

Most of the elements in this was nice but because the Kaffir lime leaves were strong I did not like the overall taste, but inside there was dried shrimps, cashew nuts, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce, lemon juice, onion, sugar, dried squid, red pepper.

The spicyness levels was light however I could not find the pieces of squid.

Thai Jasmine cakes

Initially thought these were pandan because they were green but after trying them I realised they were Jasmine.

The Jasmine tastes really different from the Jasmine teas, inside the green thing there was some filling which might have been egg yolk.

Anyway, dont know what they were but just tried them for fun.

McDonalds: Thailand - Bento rice box

Source:
http://en.rocketnews24.com/2012/03/06/mcdonalds-thailand-ditches-beef-and-buns-for-chicken-and-rice/

It’s not all burgers and fries at McDonald’s Thailand, which we recently learned is selling a convenient deep-fried chicken lunch box (or, Karaage Bento, as we call it in Japan).
The lunch box is no more than pieces of deep-fried chicken covered in teriyaki sauce with a hearty serving of jasmine rice, so simple that we wouldn’t be surprised to find it sitting on the shelf of a convenience store.
This isn’t the first rice-based meal out of McDonald’s Thailand: one of the current promotional items is the mouth-watering McD Namtok Rice, which comes with the choice of beef, chicken or pork.
Your reporter had the chance to try a chicken & rice box for himself and the taste was mostly defined by the sweet teriyaki sauce, which had permeated into the fried batter to make it taste like some sort of deep-fried confection more than anything.
By contrast, the chicken was lean and I was able to eat the whole meal without feeling too weighed down afterwards.
I did however feel that the chicken would have gone much better with moister rice instead of the Thai jasmine, though that could just be my Japanese preference.
Overall, the chicken is delicious and it makes a good light meal for when you’re on the go, and affordable at only around 140 yen (US $1.79)! I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing the item come to McDonald’s Japan (with Japanese rice, of course).

McDonalds: Thailand

McDonalds: Thailand

This site has English!
There was lots of interesting items.
I was surprised one of the dishes was served on a plate for a fast food chain.
McD Chicken Namtok Rice
The Spinach pie and Cupid kiss frappe are some items I really want to try.

Although I do not like McDs softserve, their softserve with jelly looks visually attractive.

Other items that I like:

Dont know what the above is meant to be, but it looks good.

congee!!
Jelly parfait!!!!!! Banana cinnamon roll!!!Carrot cake!!
