Acecook 25th Anniversary Black Squid ink instant noodles

Initially I did not notice the special edition cup noodles by Acecook because it was Black and did not stand out on the shelf.
Anyway, the black wrapping was quite classy and it was SQUID flavoured too!
It was the first time I came across squid flavoured cup noodles.

Inside the box, there was a sachet of liquid sauce and a sachet of condiments containing dried squid and cabbage.
After the pouring away the water in the custom made drainage holes on the corner, the noodles were ready to be mixed with sauce.
Mixing sauce into it
The taste was a bit disappointing because the squid taste was not obvious and the colour was not as black as I hope for squid ink.

DAYPLUS Green Tea natural yeast bread

Marbled bread with green tea from 7-11.
The bread was nicely flavoured and not too sweet but not springy enough.

Inside the packet there is some sort of interesting dessicant called "Fresh Dot" technology which involves ethanol.

Izumiya Castella (sponge cake)

Thanks to Hong Kong's 7-11 for these Izumiya Castella (sponge cakes) $11.9.

Castella cakes are made of starch syrup, sugar, eggs and flour.

There were two flavours Matcha or Honey, both were nice and soft with a slightly sticky and chewy texture.
I preferred the honey flavour because it was much lighter.

As for the Matcha, the matcha flavour was not strong enough.

Maruka Instant soba noodles

I love soba noodles so I had to try this.

The portion of noodles seemed bigger than the standard ones.

There was a sachet of crispy tempura pieces and spring onions.

After adding the sauce, it was sweet and smoky and the noodles had some reminiscene to soba noodles with its wheaty texture.
I was a bit disappointed in the sauce because it was just sweet and using all the sauce in the sachet made it quite salty..

Acecook Coco Ichibanya Curry House Instant Noodle

I was surprised to see some bowl noodles with Coco Ichibanya Curry House on it.

Coco Ichibanya Curry House serves nice curries with branches all over the world.

It was a square bowl with drainage holes on one side.

There were three bags of condiments: curry powder, pieces of meat and oil.

After pouring the water out, I added the condiments and mixed it together.

The taste was really nice with a strong curry flavour but it had a different taste to the curries at Coco Ichibanya Curry House.

If I were to have it again, I would drain the water sooner so that they are not so soft.

Lake Masyu Baby WATER 赤ちゃんWATER

北海道の天然水「摩周湖」は、今もなお、原生の森に護られながら、清らかで美しい水をたたえる摩周湖から染み出た天然の水です。

Intrigued by bottles of baby water, I had to try it!
After googling it, I found out that the water comes from the Masyu Lake in Japan.
The taste was really nice and similar Volvic mineral water.
The labelling in Hong Kong seems a bit different to their website.

Bourbon Chocolate Chips

I have always wanted to try the chocolate covered crisps at Royce, luckily other brands make them too.
Thanks to Connie for getting me these delicious Bourbon chocolate chips.

They are basically crinkle cut chips covered in chocolate.

The taste is interesting and nice because the saltiness of the crisps and chocolate actually tastes nice together.

Marunaga Sweet potato icecream

I was attracted to this icecream because of the packaging, it appears to be a sweet potato inside.

After opening the wrapper, it looked like a real sweet potato.

The wafer shell has been cleverly made to mimick the sweet potato surface and colour.

Inside the sandwiched wafer there is icecream and sweet potato paste.

The sweet potato icecream is amazingly deliciously because the vanilla is not that sweet but with the sweet potato paste on top, the sweetness is just right.
The sweet potato paste makes it more believable as if you were really have sweet potato with icecream.

The only disappointment was that the wafer was not crispy.

You-ka Maccha Tiramisu Chocolate

These maccha covered almonds reminded of Meiji's and Lottes' chocolate covered almonds.

They come in a resealable bag, all individually wrapped.

There are about 10 inside.

When you unwrap them, it looks like it has been dusted with green tea powder.

It tastes like pistachio initially and then the taste is very buttery and creamy.
