The rice rolls in Hong Kong are much softer and sweet by default without any sauces.
Adding sauces makes it worse because the soy sauce and red sauce in Hong Kong is much sweeter.
They also add this annoying oily sesame paste and sesame seeds as well as plain oil for some weird reason.
I just can't rant enough how delicious the Rice Rolls are in UK, not just by H.K Food Products but a majority should be good.
The reason they taste so good is that the texture of these rice rolls are firm yet al-dente with a good elastic chew to it.
They taste good plain or simply with some soy sauce and chili sauce that is not sweet by default.
