[Review] Pocky Choco Mint

I love anything that is mint chocolate so tried the Pocky Choco Mint.
The box was cute, it was mint coloured which matched the contents.

The pocky sticks were more or less how it looked on the product picture.
The biscuit stick was chocolate flavoured covered in mint chocolate.

Overall quite delicious if you like mint chocolates but the chocolate texture is a bit waxy.

[Review] 唯怡 Viee Nut beverage - Plant protein beverage

Tried the nut beverage which doesn't seem to have much English on it except the label.
The taste was thick and syrupy without any distinctive nut taste but according to the ingredients there were things like cashew nuts and walnuts etc.

Overall, I would like to see more English labelling on it before I recommend this drink.

[Review] Palacios Pizza Barbecue Creme

Tried Palacios Pizza Barbecue Creme which can be microwaved as well as reheated in the oven.
Unfortunately, I didn't find it impressive as the sauce was very sweet and the pizza base was rather chewy and tough.

[Review] Gold-pak Yamagata Cherry Ice Bar

Tried the Gold-pak Yamagata Cherry Ice Bar which is just frozen cherry ice.
To be honest, it tasted like frozen cherry cordial so it was quite sweet.
As well as cherry, there are other flavours.

Koikeya Feel Aloha Chips coconut & salt

I was captivated by the interesting coconut and salt crisps by Koikeya which has this Hawaiian design on the packaging.
Sadly the taste was awful.
While I was expecting a savoury taste, it was sweet so I can imagine the mango and butter flavour by Koikeya to taste bad!

[Review] Calbee Basil and Black Pepper Chips

I love Basil so I was really looking forward to the Basil and Black pepper crisps by Calbee.
It is quite strange to pair black pepper with basil because basil is an aromatic herbs that doesn't really need other spices to go with it.

Sadly, the black pepper was prominent so I couldn't really taste the basil.
The texture of these crisp were rather hard.

Overall, I would not recommend these crisp but by all means black pepper lovers will love it.

[Review] Greggs VEGAN Festive Bake and regular festive bake

UPDATE NOV 2021:
Greggs has been rolling wonderful vegan treats this year with vegan sausage rolls, vegan steak bakes etc and now they even have a vegan festive bake for Christmas.
This year I was greeted with three choices for the festive bake:  Wenzel's, Greggs regular festive or the vegan one.
Wenzel's was the most expensive out of the three so I went for had Greggs vegan festive bake as I have already tried the festive bake last year.
The vegan version was really comforting and I will be having it again soon.
The filling was so good especially the stuffing and tangy cranberries.
The pastry was spot on being light and flaky while the bake was nice and hot.
I felt that the vegan fared better because the regular version was overpowered by the cheese and herbs on the pastry topping.

UPDATE NOV 2020
Last year I tried festive bake from Iceland because the queue from Greggs was long, this year I managed to get a festive bake during the second lockdown.

NOV 2019
Greggs have launched some captivating items for Christmas 2019 like the Pigs in Blanket Baguette, Festive Bake and Mint Chocolate drink.

I was hoping to get the festive bake at Greggs but there was a long queue so ended up getting it Iceland and you get a free coffee as well with your next purchase at greggs.
At first I was really excited because when I saw the picture I thought it was festive drink but it does clearly say coffee.

Tried the festive bake at home which contains succulent pieces of chicken breast, sage & onion stuffing and sweet cure bacon in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce.

Overall, I loved it especially the creamy sage with sage and onion which make it festive, however the cranberry sauce was not that prominent.

Will definitely try the pigs in blanket baguette soon along with the hot mint chocolate.
