[Review] Daim Limited Edition Lemon

A Daim bar is a Swedish chocolate bar made from crunchy almond caramel covered in milk chocolate.

Spotted the limited edition Lemon so tried it.

I am not sure what to make of it but it was quite nice as the lemon wasn't that artificial or overwhelming.

As well as lemon, there has been Cappuccino, forest fruit bar, gingerbread, Coke, White chocolate, dark chocolate, blueberry, lemon/orange and mint.

[Review] Sangri Indian

Although I am always trying out different restaurants.
Sangri Indian is one that I return to because their food is comforting just like this restaurant in Stepney Green which closed down.
I love their vegetable side dishes and as well as their rice.

Unfortunately, I can't find the previous pictures but here is the lemon rice I had recently which is fluffy and goes well with lots of dishes.

[Review] Tesco Strawberry bites with a yoghurt flavoured coating with fruit puree

When I spotted this box, I thought they were white chocolate covered freeze dried strawberries but it turns out to be yoghurt coated snacks.

I love yoghurt coated snacks because of the yoghurt coating but it is often nuts or raisins that are coated.
The Tesco Strawberry bites are cube shaped pieces of fruit puree covered in a yoghurt flavoured coating which definitely appeals more than nuts or raisins.

As for the taste, I definitely liked it because it was yoghurt coated snacks to the next level.
The pairing of chocolate like yoghurt and strawberry is simply delicious.

Other snacks I would like to see covered in yoghurt coating are dehydrated apple pieces and coconut.

[Review] Viennetta Chocolate & Orange Flavour Ice Cream

Viennetta Ice Cream, first created in 1982 by Wall’s in Gloucester, and it has been a family favourite since as well as a popular demand in Asia.
It comes in two flavours, Vanilla and Mint.

Tried the festive Viennetta chocolate and orange which was difficult to find.

When I took it out the box, the icecream layers and ripples were mildly intact.

Overall I was disappointed as I found the chocolate icecream too soft and powdery.

The taste was basically chocolate icecream with a hint of bitterness and orange in it.

To summarize, the mint chocolate one was the best.

[Review] Perfect Fried Chicken - Croydon

Perfect Fried Chicken is mostly perfect on every visit.
I have been eating it for years but sadly the Perfect fried chicken on 239 Mile End Road closed so I have had to go to other branches.

Sadly, the food scene at Stepney Green has changed, the Perfect Fried Chicken on 239 has been replaced by Green Pepper and a few doors away you have German Doner Kebab.
Towards the Mile End side, there is a small Kentucky Fried Chicken as well as a YiFang drinks stall.
Recently, another Asian grocery store opened called Food to Go near Ifor Evans Place.

Anyway, by chance I discovered a Perfect Fried Chicken joint in Croydon and they offer some light meal deals like ribs and fries, wings and fries etc for around £2.

On the first visit, had the ribs with fries.

The ribs were a bit sweet but the fries were so comforting as they tasted consistently like the ones at Mile End.
They were fried from frozen when ordered so they were golden yellow and evilicious with mayonnaise.
I don't know what brand they use but the mayonnaise is light and creamy.

On the second visit, had wings and fries, again the fries were amazing while the wings were very spicy.

The only thing I found different was the chili sauce.
Hoping to go back again for the chicken.

[Review] Lidl Deluxe Ruby Chocolate

Ruby Chocolate is the fourth type of chocolate following milk, white and dark chocolate.
It was first available in 2017 by Barry Callebaut made with ruby cocoa beans.

In 2018, I finally tried Ruby Chocolate in the form of a kitkat where you could taste notes similar to raspberry.

Later on I was lucky enough to discover a coffee shop serving Ruby Chocolate beverage using Callebaut Ruby Chocolate pellets so I got to try the pellets on their own which were sugary with a raspberry tone.

At Lidl they had the Ruby Chocolate bar so I had to give it a try and it was surprisingly nice because the texture of the chocolate was smooth like galaxy with the fruity raspberry aftertaste that I was expecting.

Definitely worth trying at £1.67.

[Review] Kitkat Ruby Chocolate

Ruby chocolate is so different to white, milk or dark chocolate.
It had a sweet and sour taste similar to raspberry which I really liked.
