It was first available in 2017 by Barry Callebaut made with ruby cocoa beans.
In 2018, I finally tried Ruby Chocolate in the form of a kitkat where you could taste notes similar to raspberry.
Later on I was lucky enough to discover a coffee shop serving Ruby Chocolate beverage using Callebaut Ruby Chocolate pellets so I got to try the pellets on their own which were sugary with a raspberry tone.
At Lidl they had the Ruby Chocolate bar so I had to give it a try and it was surprisingly nice because the texture of the chocolate was smooth like galaxy with the fruity raspberry aftertaste that I was expecting.
Which branch of Lidl did you buy this in please? I've tried Ruby Kitkats and love the flavour! I'm a cake maker and would really love to be able to buy this on a regular basis, but am in South Wales and have not yet seen it (I do check my local Lidl every week).
ReplyDeleteSame here, I prefer this to Kitkats.
Deletegot them from Wembley Park Lidl in London before Xmas.
You can also buy callebaut ruby chocolate pellets online or samples from ebay although I don't know if you can trust them. Recently I tried ruby hot chocolate from Costa which comes in powder form. Hope this helps
I bought them this week in Lidl in dublin, ireland. Lovely taste.
ReplyDeleteyay! they are back! I'm getting them this week
