Fresh Jackfruit

Finally got to try fresh Jackfruit because the ones I have tried before were dehydrated.
The Jackfruit's appearance and inside is similar to a durian yet the taste and smell is so different.
The jackfruit tastes really sweet and the smell is also really strong.

Casino : Crème-dessert parfum caramel

Got this canned caramel dessert by Casino.
The size was quite big compared to the British canned desserts such as Ambrosia.

Anyway it tasted just like custard with a strong caramel flavour and it was quite sweet as well.
The other flavors were chocolate and vanilla.

Meko 100% pure coconut water

Finally found my favourite drink in Hong Kong.
Instant coconut water without needing to buy it from the market stalls and having it opened.

I have tried other brands before in Hong Kong which are also made with coconut water and contain coco de nata or young coconut but the drinks are heavily sweetened.
Coconut water tastes so nice on its own so I don't know why they were sweetened.

In England the brand we have is Rubicon and they come in 250ml cartons and I would buy them in packs of 30s.
The closest drink to that in Hong Kong lately was Pearl Royals coconut water which was only sold for a short period of time at TASTE.

Anyway when I saw this one it reminded me of Pearl Royals especially the design with the fuscia pink flower on the top corner.

MEKO's coconut water comes in a can and it is 310ml which is interesting because most cans are 330ml.
Anyway the colour of the drink was pale yellow and the taste of it was like fresh coconut water and of course it tasted 99% natrual because it was unsweetned and the 1% of unatural taste goes to preservatives but that cant be avoided!

Anyway its really nice and the only one in the market in HK that is not sweetened so I will get some more.

The drink was hard to find because not all Circle K stores had it and the one that had it was in Sai Kung, the drink was placed near the hinge of the fridge door which was hard to spot.

My good old KFC in England

This is the KFC we have in ENGLAND!

Perfect fries accompanied by gravy, the fries are slightly crispy and soft in the inside dusted lightly with salt.
The fried chicken is fried just right, there is a light crispy coating that is not too hard.
The size of the drumsticks I have seen in Hong Kong are tiny and slightly smaller than the KFC sporks!

Lion corn snack

When I saw this it just reminded me of a huge pack of dehydrated sweetcorn that you get in instant noodles and soup.

The taste of the dehydrated sweetcorn was quite artificial from the aftertaste.
Initially it tasted savory when you put it in your mouth then after swallowing it, the taste is really sweet and artificial.
Apart from the taste it is just like eating dehydrated sweetcorn, if it had not been sweetened, the taste would have been natrual and perfect.

Yangmei Berry

I have always been intrigued by this fruit and did not know what it was until I finally tried it.

It looks like a lychee, so I assumed you had to peel off the shell and eat the berry inside, then later I found out that the whole berry is eaten except for the stone so I decided to get it because there is nothing to peel off.

The taste was unique at first. Then it reminded me of pink grapefruit.
The berry is made up of liquid filled pins similar to a grapefruit but without the white skin protecting it.
In the centre there is a stone.
After trying a few, some were sweet and some were very tart.
The tart ones tasted like grapefruit and the sweet ones like a sweet berry.

Casino : Barres Cereales - Chocolat Au Lait & Noix De Coco

A cereal bar from a French supermarket Casino.

It is milk chocolate and coconut.

Compared to other cereal bars I have had, I found this one really soft but it could be due to the fact  I tried it in the summer.

It tasted exactly the same as a BOUNTY bar but with less coconut and it was crispier due to the cereal.
