[Restaurant Review] Sam's Chicken and Katsu curry sauce

A while ago I was captivated by Sam's drumsticks bucket which seemed a good deal but as I have never tried Sam's I wasn't sure if their chicken was good.

Finally went to Sam's for their #friedchicken but I think I went the wrong time as the chicken was a bit cold and dry.

I am glad I only got one piece on my first visit and didn't get the bucket.
Although I wasn't impressed with the chicken I still want to try the katsu curry rice.
@samschickenuk
A few months later, I tried the katsu sauce because I was having fish and chips.
The taste of the sauce was rather acidic but I think it is because of the fruity elements that make up the katsu sauce.

A few months later I was back because for wings as I have not tried them before from this branch as I usually get them from a different shop.
Ended up getting the spicy wings and bbq wings.
The spicy wings were how they but the BBQ wings totally blew me away, the wings were crispy in this sweet but not cloyingly sweet sauce so it was just delicious like eating buffalo wings.
Next time will definitely get a proper picture of the bbq wings to do them justice.

Normally with bbq wings, they just used grilled wings and toss them in bbq sauce but the fact that sam's uses fried wings makes it even more delectable!
The BBQ wings were so good that I went back just for them and also tried the spicy rice.
It was heaven having the bbq wings and spicy rice together because the rice was basmati rice which was soft and fluffy although some of the rice was a bit dry but it was acceptable.

My good old KFC in England

This is the KFC we have in ENGLAND!

Perfect fries accompanied by gravy, the fries are slightly crispy and soft in the inside dusted lightly with salt.
The fried chicken is fried just right, there is a light crispy coating that is not too hard.
The size of the drumsticks I have seen in Hong Kong are tiny and slightly smaller than the KFC sporks!

McDonalds: Philippines

McDonalds in Philippines

I love the burger variety and drinks, especially the burger sauces.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Burger McDo : Beef burger served with Special Sauce
(a sweeter version of Thousand Island dressing) in a bun.
The colour of the sauce looks similar to prawn cocktail sauce.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Crispy chicken burger: The coating for the chicken fillet is the same as the one used in the fried chicken.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hamdesel wtih egg:
Pandesal bun served with pineapple glaze syrup, mayonnaise and Canadian bacon.
It also comes with scrambled egg, cheese or both.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Chicken McDo:
Fried chicken served with rice/McSpaghetti (one piece only) and chicken gravy, also available in a spicy variant.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Longaniza (Philippine chorizo) served with rice and egg - Breakfast

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
McFloat : Honey Banana
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
McFloat : Monster Rockin Ruby Float

Berry McFlurry

Breaded chicken fingers from KAI BO Frozen meat supermarket

I was surprised this supermarket has a website!
I thought it was quite old fashioned and their products were probably made in China.
www.kaibo.com.hk/address.html

Anyway, I bought the Breaded chicken fingers which was really cheap considering the quantity in the packet which arouses suspicion on its quality and taste!

After frying them, they were tasteless and there was no smell of chicken at all.
I believe 90% of it is made of flour and the 10% is made of chicken fat and giblets.

McDonalds: Singapore

McDonalds in Singapore

I was quite surprised they offer Jasmine tea as one of their beverages, and since Singapore is quite multicultural chicken is quite a popular item there.
Even for breakfast they have crispy chicken with eggs!
I have tried cinammon melts before which are delicious and here they have blueberry melts as well!
