[Review] The new Marmite Houmous - It's been a marmazing 2020

It's been a marmazing year with Marmite Cream Cheese, Marmite Butter, Marmite Peanut Butter and now the new MARMITE HOUMOUS!!!!!
Houmous is always delicious but not as evilicious as Marmite butter or Marmite cream cheese!!!
As soon as it was launched, I was looking at every TESCO for it and finally found it at a TESCO Express in Wimbledon.

I tried the Marmite houmous on its own and it tasted how I expected it to be, it was houmous with a moreish unami kick with a Marmite aftertaste.
It is definitely the best invention ever because houmous will never taste the same again after I tried this.
The Marmite houmous tasted divine thickly spread on crumpets.
It makes a guilt free spread packed with vitamin Bs.
I think I will try mixing some Marmite and Houmous soon to see if I get the some results!

Since this has been published in July 2020, Marmite have changed the recipe to make it completely vegan hence I ended up buying it again.

[Review] Waitrose Roasted Beetroot & Mint Houmous

The houmous game is on and every super market has so many creative houmous to  choose from.
At Waitrose, they have the Roasted Beetroot & Mint Houmous which I haven't seen at other supermarkets however Morrisons has a Beetroot & Mint dip.
It is nice to see Waitrose offer a fancy houmous that you would normally get at restaurants.

The Roasted Beetroot & Mint Houmous had a lovely vibrant colour and an overall balanced flavour of beetroot and mint.
I was anticipating the mint to be strong or the beetroot to be quite sweet but it was all in harmony.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencer Pesto Houmous Swirl

Houmous/Hummus is getting fancy these days, there are so many different flavours.
My current favourite is the sundried tomato hummus from Morrisons which has a lovely moreish taste because of the strong flavours from the sundried tomatoes.

At M&S, I spotted the Pesto Houmous Swirl which is visually appealing.

The taste was amazing, it was delicious houmous with prominent basil from the pesto.
Definitely a worth trying because it has this nice Italian kick to it.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers organic houmous with extra virgin oil

I love houmous so got Marks and Spencers organic houmous with extra virgin oil.
You will find the regular, organic and velvety houmous at Marks and Spencers.
Tried the organic houmous with extra virgin oil which was thick and creamy.

Just for fun, I added some Madras curry powder to it and it gave it that extra spiced kick!

[Review] Sabra Mezze Houmous Extra

The competition for houmous is fierce these days with every supermarket having their own range of houmous in different flavours.
As I haven't tried the Sabra Houmous I decided to review it.
My first impressions was that the tub was nice but the contents looked thick inside.
According to the label, it is a smooth, rich and decadent. Sabra Houmous Extra is topped with pine nuts and Olive Oil and contains extra whole chickpeas at the bottom for the most authentic tasting houmous available.

After trying it, I was quite impressed because it tasted like the houmous you get at restaurant where it is thick and creamy.
The pine nuts and whole chickpeas are what makes it special.

[Review] Morrisons Sun-dried Tomato houmous and Moroccan houmous

Houmous is so fancy these days, it is no longer just boring chickpeas.
There are so many different houmous with a added twist like Lemon Coriander houmous, chili houmous, Moroccan houmous, avocado houmous and even sun-dried houmous.
The range of houmous at Morrisons is huge but Morrisons Sun-dried tomato houmous is a highly recommended one because I find that the flavour is strong.

The sundried tomatoes give it that extra umami kick along with basil!

The Moroccan houmous has pieces of apricot in it while the avocado houmous is similar to guacamole but not so much avocado which explains why it is not so green in colour.

[Review] Morrisons Houmous / Hummus Collection

Houmous is getting fancy these days, there are so many different flavours.
It seems that Morrisons has the biggest hummus collection at the moment which is on offer for 2 for £2.
With all that choice to choose from I was definitely tempted to get two!!

I was more interested in the unique hummus flavours which other supermarkets don't have like Moroccan hummus, Jalapeno hummus, Red Pepper hummus and Avocado hummus.

Other flavours like caramelized hummus, sweet chili etc are also available at other supermarkets.

In the end I got the sun dried tomato hummus, avocado hummus and Moroccan hummas.

So far just tried the avocado hummus which was quite nice as it had a spicy kick from the pepperdew chilis.

Next time I will probably get the Jalapeno hummus and Lemon Coriander.

[Review] Tesco Lemon & Coriander Houmous

Houmous is getting fancy these days.
At Tesco, they have a good variety like red pepper houmous, sweet chili houmous, Moroccan houmous, caramelized onion houmous etc.

My ultimate choice would be Moroccan because of the spices but it wasn't available so I got the Lemon & Coriander and the caramelized onion houmous.
The Lemon & Coriander was amazing because the extra lemon makes it moreish and the best thing is that I can't taste the coriander because I am not keen on it.

The caramelized onions was good but I don't have a sweet tooth on savoury foods.

Orexis Houmous

I tried Orexis' Houmous which was really nice, it was not too sour or sickly, and the grounded chick peas were smooth.
