Hojicha latte drumstick by Nestle

I don't normally try Nestle's drumsticks because the flavours are quite boring but I was looking at some icecreams when I discovered they had Hojicha latte flavour.

Hojicha is a roasted tea from Japan with a hint of caramel.

The Hojicha latte icecream tasted quite nice with a light tea taste.
I assumed the whole cone was filled with that icecream but when I got to the cone part it had vanilla icecream in it as well which was disappointing because only the top part was hojicha and the bottom tastes like vanilla icecream with a hint of coconut.

They also have pistachio drumsticks but if the bottom half is not filled with 100% pistachio icecream I would be pretty angry because I love pistachio icecream.

Lemongrass tea infusions

Got these teabags from Octopus Inc.

There were two flavours: Lemongrass and Lemongrass with Pandanus leaves.
Each box contains 16 pyramid tea bags.

++++++++++++++
I must admit I am not a fan of Lemongrass but the smell is not annoying as the ones you find in Asian restaurants.

++++++++++++++
The Lemongrass with Pandanus leaves were really calming and soothing because the smell and taste was really pleasant.
++++++++++++++
They also have Longan Beverage powder too.

Fauchon paris asahi eclair sweet milk tea

Got this because it was Eclair flavoured.
A very unusual flavour! But in Japan they have all sorts of unusual flavours.
It was really sweet and had a lovely sweet scent, it basically tastes like silky western milk tea without the bitterness and it was like candy and drinks flavoured by famous syrups such as Monins.

The colour of the tea was the usual dark beige.

Interesting tea packaging

The packaging for the tea looked interesting, so decided to post this!
It seems to have Arabic on it too!
The packet is actually quite big about the size of a cornflake carton.

Camellia Treasures tea assortment

Camellia Treasures Tea assortment by Wah Fong Tea Company.

I love teas and the box was reallty elegant with 16 boxes of individual tea bags inside.

There were eight teas: mint, earl grey, osmanthus, chamomile, jasmine, English breakfast, darjeeling and spicy chai.

Lipton Tropical Fruit TEA

This drink is from the Japanese line of Lipton.

I found it too sweet and the flavouring really artificial especially the aftertaste.

The tea taste was really faint which was disappointing.

KIRIN European style berry and orange tea

According to the label: darjeeling tea and flavouring.

I always think that orange and teas are a great pairing and this one has berries as well as orange so tried it as well.
Overall it was quite syrupy but the orange and tea flavouring could have been stronger.
The berry taste was quite strong.

Glucose Cut Tea

I tried this for fun and not because I believe in its properties that it will reduce your blood sugar.
Anyway, you can keep adding water to the tea bag until it goes bland.
The initial taste was slightly sour and after that it tasted bitter.

Rickshaw Jasmine tea bags

Hopefully I will remember not to buy this brand again because the tea bags are not packed into smaller packets inside so you need a container to store them.

Tea Forté English Breakfast Tea

Found out about this exiquisite tea by Tea Forte.
Its design and packaging is different and elegant.
It was such a shame the restaurant served it the wrong way!
I was given a beer sized glass with hot water (which was not boiling) with more than the usual amount of water you would use for tea.
The major problem was that the cup should have been shallower to let the pyrimid infuser contents infuse.
But anyway, no one serves tea in a glass!!!!!

Apart from English breakfast tea, they also have other blends and other nice packaging.
Other blends in this range:
Earl Grey, Orchid Vanilla, Flora, Lemon Ginger, English Breakfast, Silk Oolong, Chamomile Tisane, African Solstice, Black Currant, Formosa Oolong, Citrus Mint, Jasmine Green, Bombay Chai, White Ambrosia, Coco Truffle, Sencha, Estate Darjeeling, White Ginger Pear, Raspberry Nectar, Green Tango.

Select Jasmine tea

Cant remember the price, but the taste was as good as Liptions.

TEBS Tea with soda

Too sweet and not fizzy!
But nice concept of tea flavoured soda.

Hong Kong Tea brand - Jasmine flavoured tea

The packaging of Rickshaw and Luk Yu were crap, as soon as the plastic film was removed all 100 teabags were exposed and you need to put them in a container especially in Hong Kong due to high humidity.

The teabag for Luk Yu was the worst, the tag and thread was abysmal that the tag would get wet easily.
Rickshaw was slightly better and the design was not so Chinesey.
After Lipton was introduced I was immediately attracted by its design and after opening I was impressed that inside it was packaged into four individual packs of 25 teabags.
However Liptons was sold out yet again! So I tried this new Hong Kong Tea Brand for $24.9 for 100 which was the cheapest so far, amazingly inside it was also had four individual packs.

The teabag quality was as good as Liptons but the taste wasnt so fragrant, it was quite bland but colour was quite strong.
I think I probably need two teabags to get a strong enough taste.

Usually I buy Liptons Jasmine teabags, they cost $39.9 for 100.
The only thing that forced to consider other options was because it was CONSTANTLY out of stock at the supermarket.
Before buying Lipton as a regular brand I bought Rickshaws ($35.9 for 100) and Luk Yu ($34.9 for 100).

天喔茶庄 Tenwow Beverages Jin Series Tie Guanyin Tea

Got this because of the attractive gold wrapping on the bottle.
It is smaller than the usual 330ml bottles.
Although it was Iron buddha, there was a strong taste of Jasmine in it.
The Chinese character were barely recognisable!

Inko's Honeydew Melon tea

It is packaged similarly to Snapple, but not as sugary as stated.
The taste was light and refreshing, the taste of tea was stronger than the melon.

Tao Ti Jelly green tea

Best fun drink ever!!

Consists of Jasmine jelly in the bottle, firstly you have to shake it to breakup the Jelly.

On its own, the Jasmine jelly tastes sweet with the gentle aroma of Jasmine, the carton of milk is optional, I tried it with the milk and it made the drink alot smoother and creamier.

The milk tasted like carnations condensed milk, so when it was mixed in was the jelly, it made the drink complete, without the milk, it is slightly too sweet, but the drink is so good, it tastes so good both ways.

There is also a coffee version.
But personally, the Jasmine one is much more refreshing.
