Heinz black garlic mayo

I love coloured foods especially when it is something unsual like black, purple blue etc.
Heinz have launched a limited black garlic mayo for halloween which comes in three designs: purple, white and orange.

It was hard deciding between the white and purple but in the end I got the purple.

The black garlic mayo is made from black garlic which makes it special.
For those that have not come accross black garlic, it is a black from the fermentation process but if you look closely it is not truly black but a dark brown colour.
The texture of it is soft, mushy and tastes sweet, there is a twinge of sourness and there was an interesting feeling on the mouth because of the pH levels.
Similar to roasted garlic, there is still a garlic odour and smell.
Tasting the sauce on its own, I felt that there was not much real black garlic as it wasn't that sweet and punchy but you still have a creamy garlic taste to it with a fine gritty grainy texture.
I decided to pair it with some purple potatoes like you do and it was really tasty.
It was also good on pizza, hotdog and fries.

Heinz Tuscan Beans

I was really surprised how delicious these Tuscan Beanz were because there are lots of real tomatoes and onions in it so it doesn't taste sweet like Baked beans and the herbs make it taste fab.

I nearly finished the whole can in one go.

[Review] Heinz First Steps no added sugar creamy peach & apricot porridge

I don't know if anyone else has a baby food fetish like I do but it's addictive and expensive.
This time I tried the Heinz first steps no added sugar creamy peach & apricot porridge which was comforting.
Strangely it was sweet without any sugars.
You can make the porridge runny or thick but personally I like it thick as a paste.
As for the price it was only 59p from one below which is a new discount store that opened recently.
Some baby porridges like cerelac are super sweet so I don't understand how babies can eat it.

[Review] Heinz Turkish Garlic Sauce

Tried the Heinz Turkish style garlic sauce with Quorn roast sliced fillets. with cucumber.

Overall, I found it creamy and herby with garlic and chives but you could still taste salad cream in it.

[Review] Farley's Rusks

I don't know why but I always have a craving for baby foods.
There is something special about Farley's Rusks that are comforting and I don't know what it is.
Farley's Rusks started in the 1880s, but the company were taken over by Heinz in 1994.
Since I had a craving for them, I decided to get them.
I was really excited that I ate them right a way when I got home.
It was comforting that the smell was still the same as well as the taste.
The taste is hard to describe but the biscuit is sweet with a strong taste of flour.
I thought the taste was rather sweet as an adult so I am keen on trying the reduced sugar version which is difficult to get hold of.
When you add milk to it, the sweetness is just right.
Anyway, after posting it on social media it was comforting to see other people having the same affections to Farley's Rusks.

[Review] Heinz French style Tartare Sauce

I love a good Tangy Tartare sauce but unfortunately the Heinz French style Tartare sauce was a bit too sweet.
The chunky pieces of the gherkins in the sauce were a plus though.

[Review] Heinz Mayonnaise creamy and smooth

Hellmans is my usual mayonnaise choice but decided to try Heinz.
To be honest, I didn't like it because it tasted like creamy Heinz Salad cream which is slightly sour.

Heinz multigrain with cauliflower, broccoli and cheese dinners

Tried Heinz multigrain with cauliflower, broccoli and cheese dinners which is made by just adding water.
I like mine thick and tasty so I generally don't add too much water.
The taste of this was quite nice with a subtle broccoli and cauliflower taste but I couldn't quite taste the cheese.
If it is too bland for you (adults),some salt can be added to enhance the taste.

Heinz Beanz Curry

Great colouful design but unfortunately I didn't like the taste because it was just sweet, sweet and sweet and the curry flavour was lacking.

Heinz chicken and sweetcorn baby food

Every now and again I will have a craving for baby food.
Although people say there is a strange taste, I find that taste quite comforting.
Anyway, I think baby food is by far the healthiest food because there are no preservatives or colourings in it, and it comes in glass jars, which is the most inert.
This time I tried Heinz chicken and sweetcorn, the puree food had extremely fine pureed sweetcorn and you could taste the finely grounded chicken which was very velvety and the minuscule pieces of the skin covering the sweetcorn kernal.

Heinz canned Macaroni and Cheese

Had a Mac n Cheese craving, so got the Heinz one.
The canned version is runnier than the real thing.
The macaroni was soft but the sauce was really nice, you could taste strong cheddar with some bitter aftertaste.
The cheese sauce is similar to processed cheese but in runny form.

Treacle sponge pudding and custard straight from the can!

I love treacle pudding, so got the canned one from Heinz and canned Ambrosia custard.

After microwaving it, the pudding was delicious although slightly too sweet.
