Walls ZAPP lolly

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these Zapp Lollies at a Polski shop so I had to see if they tasted the same as how they did.
I was not disappointed because they were just the same as in toffeetastic and the lollies are still a bit soft and floppy like they used to be.

GUDNESS sweet semolina snack SHIRA

I love semolina but failed to like this even though it was awarded the good taste award.

Even though it was labelled as quick and healthy, the sweetness of this was so sweet that I don't think it is as healthy as claims.
As well as being overly sweet I didn't like the spices.

 

Tesco instant oats: blueberry and apple

I was faced with a choice of Quakers Sweet cinnamon oats or Tesco instant blueberry and apple oats so ended trying the Tescos because I have not tried it.

It was disappointing as expected because the blueberry flavour was very artificial and if you have tried the M&S berries, you will find that the amount of dehydrated fruit is noticeably different.

MIA Cashew ginger spice dark chocolate

Cashew is one of the best nuts in terms of ingredients because it makes the creamiest ingredient without adding any flavour.

This is probably the first chocolate I have tried made of cashew but it was a dark one so I think a non dark chocolate would be a better way of appreciating it.

Anyway, I loved the crystallized ginger pieces which chewy and took it to the next level.

 

aah! Bisto gravy

I love Bisto gravy which is something I was bought up with.

It is always consistently comforting and meaty in taste that is so nice that you can drink it!

Tesco finest Egg Custard Tarts (Summer Edition)

When I saw these Tesco finest Egg Custard Tarts (Summer Edition), they made me look twice because I was wondering how they different to the usual egg custard tarts apart from being different in shape and costing more.

One day, I felt like something sweet so decided to try them.

As there were two of them, I had one chilled and one warmed in the microwave for 12 seconds.

The chilled one was much nicer, the tart base is the usual short crust but because of the tart shape you get an even ratio of filling to pastry compared to the regular custard tarts.

The custard filling was much richer and intense in taste so it was actually quite nice along with the nutmeg.

Having it warmed was not to my liking, the filling was much sweeter and the consistency was like smooth creme that was really thick and silky.

The tart base was much softer as well.

M&S Food porridge Very berry flavour

I think this was my first porridge pot from M&S.

Peeling the lid back, it definitely impressed as there was so much berries.

The good thing was that it was not sweetened which makes it healthy so you are in control if you want to add any sugar or not.

[Quaker Oats ] Oat So simple sweet cinnamon

I love instant oats especially these porridge pots.

All you do is add water.

The sweet cinnamon was really comforting and a lovely thing to have for breakfast.

Unpackaged crisps that you season yourself from SPUDOS

As a fan of Salt N Shake, how could I not be a superfan of SPUDOS.
There are six different flavours now with the new KEBAB to shake your crisps with.

In some countries, McDonalds do shake shake fries and recently McCains have done a flavour maker.

Anyway, the SPUDOS range are a success and I was so happy to see them at the QMUL Zero Waste Shop at my uni.

Instructions are simple, you just fill the paper bag with crisps or any container, add the seasoning of your choices and shake.

I liked the way how the seasoning flavoured the crisps without giving it extra saltiness.

To summarize, the nooch and onion, salt and vinegar and the prawn cocktail were my favourites.

Quick tasting notes for each flavour:

nooch and onions: imagine wotsits with a hint of sweet onion

Salt and Vinegar: just as good as any salt and vinegar

Prawn cocktail: tangy and sweet

David Bacon: smoky with a fiery kick

Chip Shop Curry: a mild curry with some sweetness

Doner Kebab: intense spices with a super fiery kick.

Brazilian Nissin miojo tomato instant noodles

The Brazilian Nissin tomato instant noodles were surprisingly tasty because the tomato flavouring was on the savoury side and the noodles had a good bite.

These are fortified with vitamins which I haven't seen other noodles do.

Strangely, the other Brazilian Nissin noodles I tried earlier were not as tasty as the tomato.

M&S Raspberry Royale Yumnut

I love yumnuts so this time tried the Raspberry Royale Yumnut which was very pleasing with the freeze dried raspberry pieces on top.
A little two sweet but lovely.
