Jacob's Fig Rolls

Fig Rolls

The fig roll is one of my favourite biscuits filled with preserved figs inside.

As well as the fig roll, Jacab's have a nice marshmallow range too, especially the Mikado with jam in the centre and marshmallows on the side sprinkled with dessicated coconut.

Mallows

Kimberley
Jacob's Kimberley comprises of two circular ginger based biscuits that sandwich a thick layer of white creamy vanilla mallow doused in sugar. First launched by Jacob's in 1893, Kimberley remains a firm Irish favourite. The distinctive name was borne out of the Kipling African adventures. The importance of Jacob's Kimberley to Irish culture and the affection in which it is held cannot be underestimated and is reflected in its loving longevity in the Irish market place.

Mikado
Mikado dates back to 1888 and like Kimberley, Mikado is a combination of mallow and biscuit. However the flavour variants and design are characteristic of what is the most unique looking of the three biscuits in the mallow family. Mikado is created by inserting ten deposits of mallow atop a vanilla based biscuit with a strip of raspberry flavoured jam, all coated with a coconut sprinkle.

Coconut Creams
Coconut Creams, launched back in 1890 and originally spelt "Cocoanut Creams" is a unique biscuit with an identity of its own. Featuring two variants in a pack, pink and white, the base of the Coconut Creams is circular in shape and is decorated with a large deposit of mallow doused in coconut sprinkles.
All three Mallows products are unique and have their own individual character yet complete a much-loved family of brands.
