[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Caramel Eclairs

I love fresh cream eclairs because they are simple, you have fresh cream, the light choux puff and the sweet fondant on top.
The most basic eclair has chocolate fondant but now Marks and Spencers has caramel which is my new favourite.
They had chocolate orange in the past but caramel is definitely the best.

According to the label, it says white chocolate caramel but the taste was amazing, each bite was heaven because the caramel fondant was the star of the show in the sense that the caramel flavours were so strong but not too sweet.
So the eclair as a whole was just heavenly!

[Review] Morrisons Green Thai Soup

I knew I was going to hate this Thai green soup because I can't stand lemongrass.
The soup was weirdly bland but you could taste the lemongrass and spices.
It strangely contains alcohol according to the labelling but you can't find any alcohol in the ingredients list.

Although I do not like Thai soups, I have also tried M&S Chunky Thai soup which was palatable but not my cup of tea.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen Sticky Teriyaki Tofu

I should have got the Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen Sticky Teriyaki Tofu ages ago because I couldn't believe how delicious this was.
The only thing that put me off was the Teriyaki sauce because Hong Kong has brainwashed me to think Teriyaki and Japanese Katsu curries are sweet.
Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen Sticky Teriyaki Tofu

The Teriyaki Tofu comes with sticky rice according to the front of the insert but the ingredients say Jasmine rice which is confusing.
When I tried it, the rice was just Jasmine rice.

There was a strong taste of red miso and mirin wine which goes really well with the mushrooms and dried porcini.
The use of these mushrooms taste so much better than shitaake especially the dried porcini which has a meaty texture and a strong nutty flavour.
The tofu itself was soft and delicious complemented nicely by the strong sauce.
I like the way there is chilli in it for that spicy kick while the edamame beans give it some colour and sweetness.
The only thing I didn't like was the lime leaves because I just don't like it as it is similar to lemongrass.

Overall, I am so glad I tried and wouldn't mind getting it again but as you know Marks and Spencers always has new items coming which makes it difficult.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Bombay Aloo

So far I have been impressed with the Indian range at Marks and Spencers.
This time I got the Bombay Aloo which is was a side so I had it with rice.
The Bombay Aloo was not too spicy yet comforting because it had all the spices in it that you would expect like black mustard seeds and garam masala.
The potatoes were nice and fluffy.

[Review] Lidl Gelatelli Mint Layered Ice Cream Dessert

The Viennetta inspired layered ice cream desserts have been around at Lidl for a while but I wasn't in a rush to try them but since I recently tried Icelands salted caramel mini Vienna bars, I decided to try it to compare.
Only tried Iceland's mini Vienna because it was salted caramel.

I didn't have any expectations for the Gelatelli Mint Layered Ice Cream Dessert as it was from Lidl.
It was good that it was only 500ml while Viennetta is 650ml because there is less to finish if it didn't taste good.
The appearance is about the same with the intricate folds except for the colour which is obviously lime and not mint hence not so appealing.
It was really soft to slice so unlike the real deal you don't have to wait after taking it out from the freezer.
As for the taste, the mint was really strong to the point you can smell it when you open the wrapper. But as you keep eating, you get accustomed to the mint and the chocolate layers are quite crispy.
Overall, worth trying.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Custard

Another evil product by Marks and Sparks.
The Marks and Spencers custard was so damn good that I had it straight from the pot cold.

The custard was just good on its own, super thick and creamy tasting like white chocolate and condensed milk in a delicious way.
Sinfully fattening because it is made with whipping cream as to milk.
I believe it is the same custard that you get in MS trifle which you can't get enough of as the cream and jelly gets distracting.
Any how, I don't get how it says low fat on the labeling when it is made with fresh cream.

Also tried the custard hot, where the texture is not so thick but still thick and it still tasted just as good.

[Review] Morrisons Fresh Ideas Carrot, Butternut & Ginger Soup

At Morrisons, it appears they have combine two soups in one.
They have combined the carrot and coriander with the butternut.
Anyway, decided to give it a try as I have not tried the fresh soups at Morrisons.
It was not a bad soup.
You are hit with notes of raw carrots then some bitterness followed by the mild fiery ginger kick.
Overall, it was quite nice because it wasn't sweet and it was light.
I liked it because it did not contain any cream or butter which makes it healthy.
