[Review] Walkers Discos Crisps

Crisps are snacks that I eat all the time but this is one that I've eaten since I was young but never reviewed so decided to review it now.

Strangely, the present Discos taste different in the sense that the crisps are thicker and harder.
There are flavours: Prawn cocktail, Salt and Vinegar, Cheese and Onion.

The Salt and vinegar is the best, the prawn cocktail is very acidic while the cheese and onion tasted a bit off in the way it was a little bit rancid.
Perhaps the crisps are thicker than they were before because when you open the packet, there isn't many inside!

[Review] Walkers Originally Smiths salt and shake crisps

I have always been obsessed with originally smiths salt and shake crisps salt sachet.
The salt inside the dark blue sachet are perfectly spherical balls.
For people with a low sodium diet, these are the only crisps that do not contain salt so I would definitely recommend these crisps to them if they have a crisps craving.

[Review] Walkers Sensations Lime and Coriander Poppadoms

As always, Walkers savoury snacks taste good.
I liked the poppadoms as they were addictive but not too spicy on the heat.

As well as potato snacks, they also do nut snacks in the Sensation range:

[Review] Walkers Christmas Sprout Haters vs Sprout Lovers

You either hate or love sprouts.
Walker's have brought back the brussel sprouts crisps this year.

There are two multipacks for sprout lovers and sprout haters.
As a sprout lover and curious foodie, I got the one with sprouts which contains Turkey Stuffing, Sprouts and Pigs in Blankets.
The other bag contains the same except you get Honey Glazed Ham and Cheese and Cranberry.

I was really excited about the sprouts so had it first.
There was a strong celery and spinach smell when I opened it and the crisps were slightly green.
As for the taste, I really liked it because it tasted grassy just like celery.

The Turkey Stuffing had a hint of sage.

As for the Pigs in Blanket, it was smokey.

Overall, the sprout was my favourite flavour being unusual and strong.

[Walkers crisps] Bugles

Bugles are American corn snacks but now they are available under Walkers crisps in three flavours:
Southern BBQ, Sour cream and black pepper and cheese.

Southern BBQ:
The Southern bbq flavour tasted like prawn cocktail #skips with a hint of bbq.

Sour cream and black pepper:
The sour cream and black pepper was the lightest of the three flavours but moreish because the black pepper gives it a nice kick with the sour cream.

Cheese:
The cheese flavour tasted like hard baked cheese #quavers that melt in your mouth.

Sunbites Onion & rosemary by Walkers

I loved the lilac crisp packet and inside there were aromatic crispy bites but the rosemary was not strong enough and there was a sweet aftertaste.

Walkers Pops

Walkers Pops are new crisps which are air-popped snacks and claim to be 50% less fat than standard potato crisps.

Currently available in Original, Sour Cream & Onion, Melted Cheese & Crispy Bacon, and Prawn Cocktail.

Thanks to my mum, I got my hands on the Original and Prawn cocktail.

They look like perfectly uniform round Chinese prawn crackers but the texture is similar Monster munches with that maize feeling in it.
It was surprising how two different flavours could taste so different, the prawn cocktail was very acidic but had that usual prawn cocktail smell and the original was much nicer with a strong potato taste.

Cajun squirrel crisps!!

Chilli and chocolate, crispy duck with hoisin sauce and Cajun squirrel are among a tastebud-testing new range of crisp flavours launched in Britain on Friday.
The flavours, chosen by the public and developed with the help of top chief Heston Blumethal, also include fish and chips, builder's breakfast and onion bhaji.

They will be sold until May, after which there will be a vote to decide which flavour stays on sale permanently. The creator of the winner will get 50,000 pounds (77,000 dollars, 56,000 euros) plus one percent of future sales.

Of the six finalists, only one was proposed by a man: Cajun squirrel is the brainchild of Martyn Wright, 26, who said he was inspired to enter when he saw squirrel on a restaurant menu.

"This gentle Cajun flavouring will be delicious for the public and although the idea might sound bizarre, it really works," he said, while underlining that no squirrels were harmed in making the crisps.

The six flavours are: Builder's breakfast
Cajun Squirrel
Chilli and Chocolate
Onion Bhaji
Crispy Hoisin duck
Fish and Chips
