[Review] Pot Noodle Sausage Casserole

I love pot noodles so tried the Sausage casserole a while ago but somehow forgot to write it up hence the late post.

With most pot noodles, it comes with a sachet of soy sauce or tomato sauce. Sausage casserole comes with ketchup which makes sense because sausages and ketchup go well together.

Overall, the sausage casserole was comforting because it tasted like gravy.

[Review] Pot Noodle Chilli Beef

I love pot noodles so tried the Chilli Beef a while ago but somehow forgot to write it up hence the late post.
With most pot noodles, it comes with a sachet of soy sauce or tomato sauce but the Chilli Beef comes with some hot sauce.

I tried the hot sauce to see how hot it was before putting it in and it was surprisingly fiery so I only used a little bit.

Overall, the chilli beef was comforting and spicy because the strong flavours were nice.

[Review] Pot Noodle Chicken Korma

I love pot noodles so tried the Chicken Korma a while ago but somehow forgot to write it up hence the late post.
With most pot noodles, it comes with a sachet of soy sauce or tomato sauce but the Chicken Korma comes with mango.
Personally I am not a fan of mango so didn't put it in the noodles.
After you put the water in, you get a nice bright yellow Korma colour and aroma.
As for the taste, it was pretty good just like a proper Korma, then as an option you can add some mango sauce.
I tried the mango sauce on its own but it was too sweet for my liking but I'm so glad I tried the chicken korma and the purple pot is nice.
Hopefully pot noodles will come up with more interesting flavours.

[Review] Oyakata Japanese Curry

Previously tried the Oyakata Japanese Classic and Oyakata Miso ramen which made me fall in love with the Oyakata classic so this time I got the curry.
To my surprise, it is actually nicer than other curry cup noodles because it is not as sweet but you can taste a faint kick of ginger in it.

[Review] Batchelors NEW Southern Fried Chicken Super Noodles Pot

Batchelors Super Noodles have always been in a packet but a few years ago they started doing noodles in a pot.
The Batchelors Southern Fried Chicken Super Noodles Pot was new hence the reason I tried it.
The pot was nice too with the American design so I shall be keeping the pot after I finished eating the noodles.
Basically you fill to the line, wait for two minutes and then another 2 minutes after stirring.
The southern fried chicken super noodles was quite nice because you can taste fried chicken.
As for the noodle texture, the noodle sauce was really viscous which makes it really slipper.
Overall it was nice but I think the bacon Batchelors noodle pot is the best.

[Review] Oyakata Japanese Classic

A while ago I tried the Oyakata Miso ramen which were a bit bland.
This time I tried the Oyakata Japanese classic noodles where you drain the water and mix the sauce in.
Surprisingly, the Japanese classic noodles were much more flavourful.
They tasted like noodles tossed in Bovril and much nicer than Dolls noodles because the sauce is not that sweet.

[Review] Oyakata Miso Ramen

Spotted these black stylish Ajinomoto Oyakata cup noodles a while ago hence decided to try them.
Tried the Oyakata miso ramen which comes in a strong miso broth but sadly the noodles do not absorb the broth flavours well.
Compared to other cup noodle lids, the foil lid on this one was really good because you can fold it around the cup after adding hot water and the lid will stay down keeping the steam in while you are waiting.
Overall, not bad but I wouldn't buy this again.

Nissin Classic Soba and Peking duck review & nissin soba finds

As a fan of Nissin cup noodles, I was keen on trying the Cup Noodles Soba which are the European version made in Hungary.
So far the flavours I have seen so far are Peking duck, Sukiyaki and Classic for the cup version and also Thai curry for the packet version.
I ended up getting the classic.
Before trying I watched some reviews on youtube which said it was going to be sweet hence I didn't have any expectations because I don't like sweet noodles.
Apart from the sweet taste, there are lots of cabbage in it and you get a gingery sweet aftertaste when eating these noodles.
Not impressed but I liked the sturdy dark grey cup and it was therapeutic to watch water drain from the lid.

Peking duck:

The Nissin Soba series always costs more than a pound so when I saw them for a pound at tescos I had to try the Peking Duck one.
According the ingredients, you get 0.9% duck meat pieces which was captivating compared to soya chunks in other brands.
To my amazement, I was impressed that you really do get pieces of duck meat, not much but you can visually see it as well as the meat structure.
Although I am not fond of the sweetness, the Peking Duck is my favourite out of the rest because the Peking sauce is palatable.
Strangely, I want to buy it again.

Sukiyaki and Classic cup versions and also Thai curry for the packet version.
