Squeaky Bean Beechwood Smoked Salmon Style Slices (Vegan)

Finally got my hands on this Squeaky Bean Beechwood Smoked Salmon Style Slices which is on promotion for £2.44 with a Nectar card at Sainsburys after failed attempts at Waitrose.
I felt I had to try it for comparison after trying the ALDI plant menu no salmon and the ASDA OMV no smoked salmon version since they were quite nice.
Touching the slices, you get that oilyness just like the real thing.
As for the smoky aroma, the smokiness wasn't as strong as ASDA.
The taste was on the sweet side just like ASDA but not too salty but nice when you have it with some lemon and dill.
I felt that this was the best way to try it out because when you have it with bagel and other stuff you taste less of it as it just becomes an accompaniment.

RYVITA SWEET Crispy snacks???

Times have changed with Ryvita reinvented with chocolate and not with cream cheese.
I was quite surprised to see that Ryvita has launched a new sweet snack along with their savoury crackers.
At first, I thought it was the regular Ryvita crackers coated with chocolate but they are not.
Somehow, I feel that the original crackers coated in chocolate would be nice but the new crackers are different made with a rice and corn base which made them even lighter but I disagree with it being healthier because rye is much healthier.
Anyway, the texture reminded me of those Asian rice corn crackers which are slightly chewy and yeasty and stick to your lips when they are wet.
To be fair, these new snacks were really tasty because the chocolate goes well with it and I liked the way the layer of chocolate is really thin so that it does not get too rich.

MAMA Shrimp tom yum flavour instant noodles

MAMA noodles in general are really spicy so I tried the Shrimp tom yum because the shrimp "creamy" tom yum was not.
The tom yum soup tastes just like the restaurant which makes me suspect restaurants use soup powder mix for their broths.
Overall, it was really nice and more refreshing than the creamy tom yum version.

Tesco Hearty Food Co Mini Pizzas Cheese & Tomato 4 Pack

Tesco hearty food co mini cheese and tomato pizzas review.
Labelled as Mini pizzas topped with tomato sauce, Cheddar cheese and Emmental medium fat hard cheese.
I got these because the product pictures looked nostalgic and reminded me of those frozen pizzas wrapped in clear plastic at Sainsburys.
The good thing is that they can be microwaved and I love Cheddar and Emmental over tasteless mozzarella.
They certainly looked like the ones I used to get, the cheese was good but the tomato sauce base was on the sweet side.

Tesco finest Rhubarb and Custard Crumble

At first when I saw this Rhubarb and Custard crumble, I thought it was just the usual Rhubarb crumble but then when I looked closer it was actually rhubarb and custard.
It was a bit expensive for a fiver but in the end I decided to give it a go.
Labelled as smooth Madagascan vanilla custard with rhubarb & stem ginger compote topped with oat crumble.
I was a bit apprehensive about the ginger but rhubarb and ginger is a thing because Waitrose also do a rhubarb ginger crumble while ASDA has a rhubarb ginger drink.
It turns out the custard is not uniformly distributed but on the sides of the crumble.
As for the taste, I felt that the stem ginger compote stole the show sadly and I couldn't quite taste the rhubarb.
The sweet custard could only be tasted when you ate the edges of the crumble.
Overall, it wasn't bad in taste but a little disappointing as you could taste the the rhubarb and custard which is meant to be the star of the show.

Kyoeiseicha Morihan Sencha, Houjicha and Wakocha teas

I got these Morihan Sencha and Houjicha samples a while ago so forgot to post these until now.
The sencha was very pleasant with a grassy taste.
The houjicha was really nice as it was nutty and sweet so adding some maple syrup to it took it the another level.

morihan houjicha:
This was definitely a good quality houjicha because the leaves had a lovely roasted sweet cocoa smell.
It was smooth and aromatic.
Adding some maple syrup by made better gave it a lovely sweet kick.

morihan wakocha:
This was definitely a good quality black tea.
You can think of it as a nice breakfast tea although there were some interesting sour notes at the end if you leave it for too long.
