Marks Spencer Piri Piri salted chips

A few months ago, McCains launched these fries where you sprinkle the flavour on the chips to get restaurant flavours at home.
While shopping at M&S today I spotted these piri piri salted chips which were the exact same thing.
Interestingly, they were NEW yet reduced to £1.25 to clear.
From the experience before, I emptied the piri piri salt in the box and shook it to get an even flavouring before I put the chips in the oven.
To my surprise, they were so good and much nicer than McCains because the flavouring really did the job giving it that spicy yet salty flavour to the chips.
The chips were just divine as they were chunky chips which were really satisfying.

M&S Marks Spencer Gluten Free Wheat Free Chocolate Fudge Cake

I am not on a gluten or wheat free diet but previously had the M&S Gluten free Chocolate Fudge cake slices and they were amazing.

So I thought I would try the cake version and hope it was as good as that.

Apart from the filling and icing being a bit sugary, the cake was really delicious and moist.

However the texture of gluten and wheat free cakes tend to be slightly different almost like velvety sand that crumbles in your mouth!

M&S Marks Spencer Plant kitchen no beef steak pie

Again, M&S have used the successful [mock beef] pea protein as used in their other plant kitchen series like the no beef Shanghai noodles , no beef steak bake and no salt beef bun.

The pastry and taste was spot on and I found that it tasted similar to the No beef steak bake except that this was in a pie pastry.
The filling was similar in taste with the addition of swede which gave it a slight bitter taste.
Overall, worth trying as the mock beef texture was to my liking.

M&S Oriental Starter Selection

I hesitated getting the Oriental Starter Selection because the spring rolls from the M&S takeaway meals were not that good.
In the selection, you get two wheatflour wontons filled with prawns and vegetables, two wheatflour spring rolls filled with vegetables and two wheat pancake money bags filled with vegetables.
It should take 15 minutes in an oven but it only took 7 minutes in an halogen oven where I turned them over in between.
The selection turned out amazing and probably better than the takeaways without msg.
Every piece was crisp and light unlike takeaway style bites which are oily and have a nasty oil smell and taste.
The spring rolls were much nicer than the roll included in the M&S takeaway meal and the money bags were so tasty with glass vermicelli inside.
Last but not last the prawn dumpling was heaven and it was all delicious with some hot chilli sauce with a tang.

Lidl Oaklands Doughnut Nectarines

As well as donut peaches, you can also get doughnut nectarines which are sweet with a lovely crunch.

Araucana Blue Eggs

I haven't tried these Araucana blue eggs but they do look fascinating and I love that cool blue colour.

Hostess Chocolate cup cake

This was my first ever hostess cupcake.
I have always wanted to try them especially the limited mint chocolate edition which I can't get hold off.
They were rich and decadent without that weird alcoholic kick that you get with those long shelf life cakes.
I found them very similar in taste and quality to CuppKeyK cupcakes from the Philippines.
After trying the cupcake, I would love to get my hands on some snoballs (cakes coated in marshmallow), Danish, Pecan Spins, Jumbo Honey bun, Fruit pies, coffee cakes.
