[Review] Walkers - The power of the Sausage Roll

I am always excited when Walkers launch new crisps as a foodie.
This time it was the power of the Sausage Roll which are vegetarian.
When I opened the packet, there was a smell of freshly baked sausage rolls so they nailed it in terms of the aroma.
However the taste was lacking it a bit because I couldn't quite get that herby taste, it was just like eating roast beef crisps.
I like Walkers humour where no sausage rolls were harmed in the making of the crisps!

Iceland were the first to stock them but now Tescos have it too with a cute stand.

[Review] Lidl's Deluxe Lumpfish roe 100g

Every now and then, there will be some gems at Lidl.

The last time I got a gem was the ruby chocolate bar last year.
This time I spotted the Deluxe Lumpfish roe 100g for £2.99 so didn't hesitate to get it which is cheaper than John West's lumpfish caviar which costs £2.80 for 50g.
Technically, this is fish roe because caviar only comes from wild sturgeon fish but anyway it is still a good bargain for that price and not many places sell it.
It definitely satisfied the fun of having something similar to caviar when you can't dine at restaurants due to c o v i d.
I've have always wanted to buy caviar from the shops in London where you get the mother of pearl spoon.
It is a big no no to use metal spoons on caviar because it tarnishes the silver and you don't want to taste the metal when having caviar.
Just for fun, I topped my crumpet with caviar and did some canapes with it.
Although it does not taste as strong as caviar it was still good and it is something you can impress guests or have some simple luxury at home when you can't dine out.
For those who are clueless how to serve lumpfish roe, they also sell blinis to accompany it.

Some pictures of caviar that I had at various restaurants:

Seabream tartare with caviar and flying fish roe at Dot Cod:

Tartar di Manzo at Sorriso Italian:

Morrisons Gingerbread donuts review (doughnuts)

I love donuts and Morrisons have done it again with these new gingerbread donuts for 2020 which are vegan.
As expected the gingerbread donut was so moreish that I woofed down two in one go.
The filling was really sweet because of the cinnamon notes and I think I tasted some other spices like nutmeg and cloves.
Definitely worth trying but the ginger is weak for ginger lovers.
