Haywood Padgett Flavoured Scones - Salted caramel, Lemon & sultana, Strawberry & cream!

A while ago ASDA had these flavoured scones by Haywood Padgett but I just couldn't get them because I wasn't near an ASDA.
Then when I did finally make it, they were not selling them anymore.

I was so lucky to be gifted some samples of these Haywood Padgett flavoured scones which were:
Salted caramel, Lemon & sultana and Strawberry & cream

Naturally I was captivated by the Salted Caramel scones because who doesn't love salted caramel, next was the Strawberry & Cream scones.

On each pack, there is a pairing suggestion for the scones.
Salted caramel with salted butter
Lemon & Sultana with lemon curd & mascarpone cheese
Strawberry & Cream with strawberry conserve & clotted cream

I already had in mind what to pair with them.

The Salted Caramel scones had a lovely caramel smell when you opened the packet and you could see lots of gooey caramel in it.
To maximize that indulgent salted caramel experience, I paired it with M&S Salted Caramel cream and they tasted like heaven together.

I also paired it with some salted caramel ganache which also turned out heavenly because it accentuated the caramel.
Both were different because the M&S Salted caramel cream gives it that alcoholic kick but the caramel ganache is a good treat with tea.

Next was the Lemon & Sultana scones, there was a lovely lemoney smell when you opened the packet.
Each scone had a generous amount of sweet sultanas in them.
I decided to pair with the M&S pink gin cream since gin and lemon curd go well together hence gin should go well with the Lemon Sultana scones which it did.
The gin kick in the cream balanced the sweet sultanas nicely without overpowering the lemon.

I also tried lemon curd on the scones as suggested and it was a match made in heaven!

Last but not least, the Strawberries & Cream scones were paired with the M&S Strawberries and cream clotted cream which was basically the ultimate strawberries and cream scone.
The scones were generously loaded with strawberry pieces hence they are tasty on it own or with clotted cream but having it them with M&S strawberry clotted give takes the strawberry experience to the max.

Overall, I loved these scones especially the Salted Caramel and Strawberries & Cream.

[Review] Tesco Supersweet British Strawberries

I got the Tesco Supersweet British Strawberries because they looked nice.
All of the strawberries in the box were evenly ripe and red.
They turned out sweet and delicious as claimed and they were best paired with alcoholic cream.

Scotch eggs that will take your tastebuds on a journey by Finest Fayre

While visiting my cousin in Wimbledon, my cousin briskly showed me the Farmers Market where my eyes were drawn to the Scotch Eggs.

Scotch Eggs are whole soft or hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat, coated in bread crumbs and baked or deep-fried.

In the recent years, thanks to Instagram and egg porn Scotch Eggs have been taken to the next level with runny egg yolks, quail eggs etc.
As well as the egg, Finest Fayre are going to take your tastebuds on a journey.
They offer so many different flavours ranging from Classic, Black Pudding, Chorizo, Haddock, Chicken, Sage and Cranberry and the Vegetarian.

Black pudding would be one of my picks but I have already tried it somewhere so Haddock and Chicken would be my choices as these are unusual and I like the twist with Haddock as it reminds me of fishcakes and Portuguese bacahal.
The chicken is quite Christmassy but it makes sense to pair chicken and cranberries.
I have also tried sage and onion pork stuffing by Co-op but it was ruined by the gristle in the pork.

Finest Fayre Chicken Sage & Cranberry Scotch Egg
Finest Fayre Sausage Rolls

Currently you can not get omnipork in the UK but it would be nice to see it being used in Scotch Eggs as a vegan substitute that really tastes like minced pork.
Interestingly when I was hoping to find omnipork Scotch Eggs I managed to come across a vegetarian Scotch egg made with Purple Sweet Potato which was creative but I prefer savoury sausage meat.
To summarize, I will definitely try their Scotch Eggs soon and I like the look of their huge sausage rolls which reminds me of M&S Best Ever Sausage Roll that has a big cross section like a hamburger.

[Review] The new Marmite Houmous - It's been a marmazing 2020

It's been a marmazing year with Marmite Cream Cheese, Marmite Butter, Marmite Peanut Butter and now the new MARMITE HOUMOUS!!!!!
Houmous is always delicious but not as evilicious as Marmite butter or Marmite cream cheese!!!
As soon as it was launched, I was looking at every TESCO for it and finally found it at a TESCO Express in Wimbledon.

I tried the Marmite houmous on its own and it tasted how I expected it to be, it was houmous with a moreish unami kick with a Marmite aftertaste.
It is definitely the best invention ever because houmous will never taste the same again after I tried this.
The Marmite houmous tasted divine thickly spread on crumpets.
It makes a guilt free spread packed with vitamin Bs.
I think I will try mixing some Marmite and Houmous soon to see if I get the some results!

Since this has been published in July 2020, Marmite have changed the recipe to make it completely vegan hence I ended up buying it again.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen Smokehouse No Chicken Wrap

Spotted the new Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen Smokehouse No Chicken Wrap and I had to try it because you could see all that plant based cheese in it.
If you have tried M&S Plant Kitchen 3 Cheeze Stonebaked pizza then should know how good it tastes.
As expected the plant based smoky wrap was unbelievably good.
It's a must try because of the coconut cheese and smoky bbq sauce with an interesting kick from the cloves.
The only complaint was the chewy soya chunks which was expected which is the same soya chunks in the M&S plant kitchen range.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Prawn Cocktail with mixed grains and marie rose dressing

M&S have launched these scrumptious salad bowls which are designed to be healthy.
I had my eyes on the Prawn Cocktail with mixed grains and marie rose dressing so go it.
The star of the show were definitely the prawns and their signature creamy marie rose dressing which comes with lush leafy salad.
The mixed grains are there to make it healthy but personally I didn't really like them.
