[Review] Waitrose Scrumptious Summer Pink Lemonade Jelly

While I was at Waitrose, the Scrumptious Summer Pink Lemonade Jelly caught my eye so I got it.
Inside it was pretty ruby coloured jelly with raspberries.
You would think the jelly would taste of raspberries because of the colour but it tastes of lime cordial.
In a way it was nice but I was expecting the jelly to taste like lemonade as the product is called Pink Lemonade Jelly.
Overall, the jelly was creative but the taste could have been better.

[Review] Waitrose Bombay Potato

I love curries so decided to try the Bombay Aloo from Waitrose to see how it compares to M&S.
Sadly it was shockingly bland and most of the potatoes were under cooked that it had a crunch.
Also tried the Aloo Gobi Saag from Waitrose which failed to impress as well.

[Review] Lidl Milbona Rhubarb Crumble

As I had some cream and custard in the fridge, I decided to go to Lidl to see if there were any desserts to finish it off.
Spotted the sponge puddings and crumbles which are on special offer so got the syrup sponge pudding and the rhubarb crumble.

I used the self checkout but for unfortunately the crumble came up as full price on the till so I told the guy about it who was not helpful because he just cancelled the item and did not resolve the price problem so I had to waste some extra time queuing at the regular tills for just two items.

When I took them out for photos, I was quite surprised they were half filled compared to Waitrose and M&S where they are filled almost to the top.

Lidl Milbona Rhubarb Crumble

The Lidl version of rhubarb crumble is tangy rhubarb filling topped with a crisp butter enriched oat crumble.
After heating it in the microwave, I dug my spoon in it to get a photo before putting cream on top, the colour of the rhubarb was quite nice and you can see big chunks.

The good thing about these half filled crumbles is that I fill it with cream and custard which saves washing a bowl.
Apart from the quantity, the Lidl Milbona Rhubarb Crumble was actually really good especially the rhubarb which was tangy and not too sweet.
The rhubarb pieces were not woody like some brands.
Overall, I was really impressed with this Rhubarb Crumble and would love to have it again.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencer Pesto Houmous Swirl

Houmous/Hummus is getting fancy these days, there are so many different flavours.
My current favourite is the sundried tomato hummus from Morrisons which has a lovely moreish taste because of the strong flavours from the sundried tomatoes.

At M&S, I spotted the Pesto Houmous Swirl which is visually appealing.

The taste was amazing, it was delicious houmous with prominent basil from the pesto.
Definitely a worth trying because it has this nice Italian kick to it.

[Review] Iceland Cones Mint Choc Chip

As a foodie, I love trying different brands of ice creams, this time I got Iceland Cones Mint Choc Chip.
The design was simple and attractive and I like the cute chocolate chips on the ice cream but the description "decorated with chocolate flakes" is somewhat confusing because the ones in the picture are clearly chocolate chips.

Anyway, the ice cream looked just like the product shot so it was good.

Having had a bad experience with Iceland's Belgian Chocolate Mint Majestics, I didn't have any expectations for this.
To my surprise, they were really good.
The mint icecream had a weak mint taste but I loved the equal mix of chocolate icecream and mint icecream together which make it tasty.
The amount of chocolate chips are just right so that the icecream overall isn't too sweet.

[Review] Morrisons Vegan Sausage Rolls

The game is on for vegan sausage rolls and Morrisons has it as well.
So far I have tried Greggs, Couglans, M&S for vegan sausage roll and it is sad to say as a M&S and  Morrisons are the bottom two.
Launched last year, some reviewers have said it was bland and a year later it is still bland.
To summarize the sausage meat was tasteless and if you look at the pictures, there is more ratio of pastry to sausage meat.
