[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Smooth Pea and Mint Soup

The soup range at Marks and Spencers is amazing, there are so many soups that range from smooth, chunky to Thai soups.
This time got the Marks and Spencers Smooth Pea and Mint Soup.
As well as Pea and Mint, they also have Pea and Ham which I tried earlier.

It is interesting how the pea and mint and the pea and ham could both taste so different.
With the pea and mint soup, you could taste the freshly blended mint leaves and then you have tender peas popping in your mouth so I loved this smooth.
If you prefer the thick mushy peas and starchy texture then go for the pea and ham soup which can be quite filling.

Overall, the pea and mint soup is highly recommended unless you have something against mint!

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Peach Roulade

After trying the moreish Passion fruit Swiss Roll by Marks and Spencer, out came another version which was the Peach Roulade.
I was actually hoping to see a peach Swiss roll and now they have it so I didn't hesitate to get it because I love peaches and cream.

When I took it out the box, it looked a bit weird on one end with a gaping hole.

After I sliced it, I found it really hard to take it out because it was too soft hence the reason by it is not a perfect slice.

Sadly, the taste was not as good as the passion fruit because the pieces of peach were too soft and mushy.
Overall, it was too sweet for my liking!

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen Chorizo Puppies

I was excited about these Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen Chorizo Puppies because Chorizo is very different to sausages.

When I saw them, I was hesitant buying them because they contain red peppers which I am not particularly fond of.

Anyway, as a foodie, I had to try it because there is no other vegan chorizo in the market so far.

In the pack, there are eight so I tried two first.

Before they are cooked, the texture is very soft like raw sausages.

After grilling them, the texture is quite firm and it was like eating those pepperami sticks with a strong salty kick and spices.

It definitely tasted like chorizo with that smoky flavouring and paprika so I was really glad I tried it as the red pepper taste was not that noticeable.

I paired it with Marks and Spencers Carrot & Swede potato mash and they went really well together.

As the chorizo was really tasty, the second time I sliced it into slices like pepperoni and put it on grilled cheese toast which also tasted good.

The chorizo has to be grilled first because they are too soft to slice.

I'm am considering getting another pack again to see if it can be a nduji alternative by using the uncooked chorizo filling to cook with pasta or topping some on pizza.

Overall, another delicious item from the Plant kitchen range.

[Review] Mr Kipling 6 Carrot Cake Slices

I love carrot cake which obviously comes in a form of cake which you can get everywhere at any supermarket.
The problem is finishing off a whole cake to myself was a bit difficult so the Carrot cake slices by Mr Kipling are perfect as most cake shops and cafes are closed.

The packaging has improved as it is no longer six slices in one pack but 3 packs of two slices inside which make them last longer and you don't have to find a container for the rest.

The only thing I was not keen on was the sultanas which would give it sweetness as well as the cream cheese icing.

Overall, the carrot cake slices were delicious and satisfied my carrot cake cravings however the taste was really festive and made me feel like Christmas because of the strong spices like nutmeg, clove, caraway and ginger which I was not expecting!

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Chilli & Coriander Noodles

As well as ready meals, Marks and Spencers also offer a stir fry range where you choose your noodle, ingredients and a sauce or you can buy the items separately if you have your own ideas.
The Marks and Spencers Chilli & Coriander Noodles looked good so I got a pack.
Before I cooked the noodles, I tried them to see if the chilli and coriander were strong so that I know how to adjust the seasoning and sauces.
Overall, the chilli and coriander was subtle so it blends in quite well with what you stir fry with it.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers 4 Tiger Prawn & Mangetout Gyozas

The Marks and Spencers Tiger Prawn and Mangetout Gyozas were interesting so got them.
Most gyozas are pork fillings so prawn and mangetout was different.
I didn't know what to expect as some restaurants just put a whole prawn in there along with the pork.
It turns out that this one is minced.
The filling inside was colourful and I like the way the green from the mangetout contrasts it nicelyu.
I tried it without sauce and it was a little bit sweet but so dipping it in the sauce ponzu dip makes it moreish!
Overall, not bad gyozas which are neatly wrapped and packaged.

There was so much coriander in the soup but it was perfectly balanced because the carrot was surprisingly intense.
