[Review] Smiths Bacon Fries

Smiths bacon fries are so delicious because it is like eating pork crackling.
The catch is that it comes in a multi pack with Scampi Fries which are also good but sometimes you just want Bacon Fries only.

I think these snacks could be vegetarian as the ingredients don't really mention any meat but I'm not an expert so vegetarians would have to look into it further.

Tried these bacon fries with potato salad and they complemented each other nicely.

Currently Scampi Fries are sold together with Smiths Bacon Fries in the Smiths Savoury Selection 6 Pack.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers lighter Potato Salad

I love potatoes and carbs so tried M&S Marks and Spencers lighter Potato Salad which is basically potatoes in a yoghurt dressing.

If you are not on diet, I seriously prefer the creamy mayonnaise dressing or add some Smiths Bacon fries to make it better.

[Review] Aldi Plant Menu Masala Roast Cauliflower Sausages

I have always wanted to try some vegan/plant based sausages which are quite pricey.
Since Aldi offered the Plant Menu Masala Roast Cauliflower Sausages and they were affordable if not cheaper than other places, I decided to give them a try.
The sausage casing is like the real thing, but when it is cooked, the texture was a bit like rice paper.
The sausage filling was quite nice but the only thing that ruined it was that it was a bit too salty and sweet for my liking.

[Review] Lidl Deluxe Bloody Mary Olives

I love Olives, so got the Lidl Deluxe Bloody Mary Olives which were olives with a cocktail twist to it.
It was a nice idea but I thought the cocktail twist could have been stronger as the tomato and spiciness of Tabasco was not strong enough to make you associate the olives with bloody Mary.

[Review] Lidl Deluxe Butterscotch Mousse

Tried the Lidl Deluxe Butterscotch Mousse which turned out to be surprisingly nice.
The butterscotch mousse was light and fluffy without being too sweet or overwhelming in terms of aroma.

[Review] Lidl Classic Selection Triple Sandwiches

The last thing I would buy would be ready to eat sandwiches at Lidl because at full price they are not significantly cheaper than rivals.
Since it was reduced to 20p, I decided to give the Lidl Classic Selection Triple Sandwiches a go.

The reduction sticker was green and discreet which didn't make it look cheaper than it already is as a bargain brand so this was an advantage.

So 20p for three sandwiches was quite a deal.
In the box were: BLT, Chicken Salad and Prawn Mayo.
I was only interested in the prawn mayo so my brother had the rest.
The prawn mayo wasn't bad and it was more memorable and better than the prawn mayo sandwich at Co-op because there was a hint of black pepper in it.

[Review] Tesco Rhubarb and Custard Sundae

Tescos has a good range of products but the problem is, you can only find them at the larger stores which makes it difficult if you don't have a car or live near one.
I have always wanted to try the Tesco Rhubarb and Custard Sundae because custard and rhubarb are my favourites.

The sundae definitely fulfilled my expectations especially the custard which was presented in mousse form so it was light and fluffy.
It was quite a fattening dessert but worth trying, the only thing I would like see improved is the rhubarb because it wasn't tart at all.

April 2021: New look and now hand finished.
