[Review] Vegan smoky ham free slice & vegan cheeZe toastie at Costa Coffee

I rarely go to Costa Coffee because it is everywhere so there is no urgency to try it especially when you are trying to try all the new restaurants.
Finally went because of the Vegan smoky ham free slice & vegan cheeZe toastie.
I suppose it was worth it because the branch I went to was the new Costa Store branch located inside NEXT.

The Vegan toastie can be found in the chilled cabinet where they heat it up for you when you order it.

The smoky ham inside is Quorn but the cheese they use is unknown.

The colour of the ham was more like salmon as it was peachy.

As for the taste, it just tasted exactly like a normal ham and cheese toastie especially the cheese which was just like dairy cheese.

Hopefully the vegan toastie will stay on the menu permanently.
Will return to Costa later as I discovered some other captivating drinks like the hot Ruby Chocolate and the seriously caramel and hazelnut cake.

[Review] Ski Strawberry mousse

Ski Yoghurt is another well established UK yoghurt brand that started in the 1960s.
They were the first yoghurt brand to contain real pieces of fruit.

As tastes have changed, Ski Mousse is now popular with the younger generation.

I tried some and loved it because the strawberry mousse was light and fluffy and the strawberry taste was natrual.

I would have liked the Ski Coconut Mousse with Chocolate Sauce but I was sadly out of town!

[Review] Skips Snacks

Skips is an English snack that came out in the 1970s.

They are similar to prawn crackers in the sense that they fizz and melt in your mouth.
Each skip is shaped like a pretty flower with orange coloured lines to define the petals.

There are two variations of Skips because the in UK tapioca is used while potato starch is used in Ireland but both are manufactured by KP Snacks.

Previous flavours in the past: pickled onion, Caribbean Spice curry (teal blue bag), Hot from Rio chilli (orange bag), Chinese spare rib (purple bag), a limited edition ReBoot Dots Doughnut (pink bag) and a ReBoot pizza flavour, Sweetcorn Relish and Sweet'n'Sour according to wiki.

[Review] Iceland's Majestics Mint

Went to Icelands and got the Majestics Mint which are inspired by magnums.
They were reduced to 50p so I was expecting cheap waxy chocolate.

Boy I was wrong, on first bite I was shocked how good the chocolate was but sadly it was way too sweet that it killed the mint icecream.

In contrary the mint icecream was tasteless.

I even rinsed my mouth and tried the mint icecream on its own and it was bland, there were some faint bursts of mint which tasted like mouthwash!

[Review] Kelly's Cornish Sticky Gingerbread Ice Cream

I love Cornish ice cream because it is so thick, creamy and fragrant.
Walls Cornish cream was one of my favourites but at the supermarket I discovered Kelly's of Cornwall ice cream made with clotted cream.

The tub was really nice, it was gold because it was the limited edition Sticky gingerbread while the regular tubs are silver which is also my favourite colour.

The edges of the tub have this nice wavy finishing that reminds you of an icecream parlour but the only complaint is that it is hard to open as you have to pry it open from the edge that is only on one side.

As well as the pretty tubs, you can visually see how nice the ice cream is and not flat like other brands.
The Sticky Gingerbread Flavour Dairy Ice Cream has Toffee Sauce, Fudge Pieces and Ginger Digestive Biscuit Pieces.

As expected it was thick and creamy with delicious fudge pieces while the ginger digestive biscuit pieces were not too over powering.
However it was a little hard to scoop out unlike their youtube commercial but then it came right out the freezer.

After trying this I am definitely tempted by their other flavours like the Eton mess and Cherry Bakewell.
