Sainsburys custard slices review

So far I have only tried the vanilla slices from M&S hence I decided to try Sainsburys version which is called the custard slice.
It was surprisingly delicious especially the custard filling which has a lovely vanilla taste without being too sweet.
The custard is not to thick or creamy so I was really impressed.
Will try Tescos soon to compare.

M&S Marks and Spencers Valentine Crumpet (heart shaped)

Festive shaped crumpets have been trending for the last few years.
This is the second shaped crumpet at M&S following the Christmas tree crumpet last year.
The shape of this heart is uniform and nicer compared to the previous heart shaped crumpet finds.
For more shaped crumpets please see #ssgcrumpets on instagram.
It was fun taking photos for these crumpets and they were delicious as well.

Lidl Blood oranges vs Market Blood oranges

Recently I saw some blood oranges at the Market which were the real deal but didn't get them.
Someone in the house got them from lidl which came in this love black Gothic orange netting.
Just a lidl complaint because the colour was a lidl faint as it lacked Anthocyanins.
Apart from the lidl disappointment, they tasted ok.

Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen hoisin no duck wrap review

Before I tried this, I was expecting the mock meat to be like the beef one they did for the New York bun but it turned out to be different.
The mock duck had a wheaty bitter taste like beer which is interesting because regular duck meat does taste bitter sometimes.
Overall quite nice as it was not too sweet but I would have liked the mock duck to be a little softer or have less of it in the wrap to balance the vegetables and sauce.
Compared to Boots no duck wrap, boots fared better.

M&S Marks and Spencers Count on Us Ham & Tomato feast sandwich review

I don't recall seeing much Count on US items in the sandwich and wrap range so when I saw the Count on Us Ham & Tomato feast sandwich it made me look.
At first glance, ham and tomato seemed to be the usual sandwich filling but when I looked at the ingredients it made me buy it because of the basil mayonnaise and the tomato chili chutney.
Taking a bite, I thought it was a bit dry and more mayonnaise is definitely needed but then as a count on us series so I suppose you can't have too much without piling on the calories.
Overall, it strangely tasted like pizza because of the tomato chutney and basil but the fiery kick wasn't there but it makes a change with a pizza tasting sandwich compared to your regular ham and mustard!
